General Info:
Ratcliffe is a bad guy, no doubt about that! He is the villain who tries to kill just about everyone in the 1995 Disney movie Pocahontas. Even though he's pretty bad, he does seem to like his dog Percy, though. He is the Governor of the
colony in Jamestown, and quite obsessed with gold (so hide any of yours if you meet him). At Disney World, he is a rare character indeed! He used to be out more often years ago, but really doesn't get out much nowadays. And he has no
one location for meets, either! He seems to be a character who will pop up in a location for a few weeks, then disappear for months! Some of his locations include the front of Animal Kingdom, the Big Hat at Disney Hollywood (MGM) Studios, and Magic
Kingdom maybe in Toontown. So if you want to meet Ratcliffe, that may be mission impossible, since you just never know with him! And maybe that's for the best, since he's may be one villain you want to avoid anyways!

Character Hunting Tips: -
Finding a beloved character can be a child (or adult's!) highlight of a trip to
Disney World! On this page, we listed a character we met, also
the places we seen this character on our
week-long trips (Jan 2003, May 2003, Oct 2003, Jan 2004, April 2004, Oct/Nov 2004, April 2005, Oct 2005, December 2005, January 2006, May 2006, November 2006, February 2007, September 2007, January 2008, October 2008).
Some characters were found by some fellow character hunters who were nice
enough to help us out!
Unfortunately, we aren't local to Florida (wish we were!!!), so we certainly don't know
everything about every character!
But we tried to list good places to look and
recent reliable sightings of that character!
Must say, sometimes finding a favorite character can be difficult!
One day you may see a bunch of characters in one spot, and the next day - not one!
Some characters may be everywhere on one trip, and nowhere the next! And some
characters come out only for 10 minute meets, then don't return for hours! Yikes!
Your best
bet to find your favorite character
is to read various character websites (check links here!),
or ask at Guest Relations at a Disney World park or resort (sometimes they
can tell you where a character is meeting people that day),
or check the Times Guide Map that you pick up when
you enter the Disney World parks. Or just wander around
and constantly look everywhere you go! Good luck character hunting!!
