General Info:
Rafiki is the wise old baboon who helps the lion Simba regain his rightful place as ruler of the animal kingdom. Rafiki is from the 1994 Disney movie The Lion King. At Disney World, he is an established character that
probably will be easy to find, if you are looking for him. He appears often at Rafiki's Planet Watch at Animal Kingdom, and he's been very consistant in this location. He also appears very frequently at Magic Kingdom in Adventureland.
His spot there is right over the bridge when you enter Adventureland from the Castle area. He also pops up sometimes at the Big Hat at Disney-MGM Studios. The only other meetable character from the Lion King movie is Timon.
Timon sometimes meets with Rafiki in Adventureland. So between Adventureland and Rafiki's Planet Watch, Rafiki should be rather easy to locate for meets.

Character Hunting Tips: -
Finding a beloved character can be a child (or adult's!) highlight of a trip to
Disney World! On this page, we listed a character we met, also
the places we seen this character on our
week-long trips (Jan 2003, May 2003, Oct 2003, Jan 2004, April 2004, Oct/Nov 2004, April 2005, Oct 2005, December 2005, January 2006, May 2006, November 2006, February 2007, September 2007, January 2008, October 2008).
Some characters were found by some fellow character hunters who were nice
enough to help us out!
Unfortunately, we aren't local to Florida (wish we were!!!), so we certainly don't know
everything about every character!
But we tried to list good places to look and
recent reliable sightings of that character!
Must say, sometimes finding a favorite character can be difficult!
One day you may see a bunch of characters in one spot, and the next day - not one!
Some characters may be everywhere on one trip, and nowhere the next! And some
characters come out only for 10 minute meets, then don't return for hours! Yikes!
Your best
bet to find your favorite character
is to read various character websites (check links here!),
or ask at Guest Relations at a Disney World park or resort (sometimes they
can tell you where a character is meeting people that day),
or check the Times Guide Map that you pick up when
you enter the Disney World parks. Or just wander around
and constantly look everywhere you go! Good luck character hunting!!
