Pinocchio

Pinocchio

A Character From the Movie: Pinocchio

Common or Rare: Out Often & Findable     (Click to see common/rare scale)

Note: Fully admit our family is taking a break from Disney and are no longer updating this site at this time (2009). Information is probably out-of-date.

Best Spot for meeting this character (if there is one!): Town Square (Entrance area) at Magic Kingdom

Your Chances of Finding This Character: Good, seems to get out often enough

General Info: Pinocchio is the wooden puppet, created by a woodworker, who wishes he were a boy instead of a block of wood. Pinocchio is, of course, from the classic Disney movie from 1940 Pinocchio. Pinocchio gets into so much trouble in his movie, makes so many bad decisions, and eventually even starts to turn into a donkey. Yep - rough time! But all turns out well in the end. Anyways, at Disney World, Pinocchio seems to get out often in Town Square at Magic Kingdom (the courtyard area after entering the park). He's been regular in this location since around 2006, though of course, everything can change anytime at Disney World! He also can pop up at in the ToonTown Train Station, and also the Big Hat at Disney Hollywood (MGM) Studios. He is also in the parades at Magic Kingdom. Town Square seems to be the best place to find and meet Pinocchio himself.

Places to meet Pinocchio:

Often - Town Square after entering the park on Main Street (Magic Kingdom)
Sometimes - ToonTown Train Station/Tear Drop (Magic Kingdom)
Sometimes - The Big Hat (Disney Hollywood MGM Studios)

Character Hunting Tips: - Finding a beloved character can be a child (or adult's!) highlight of a trip to Disney World! On this page, we listed a character we met, also the places we seen this character on our week-long trips (Jan 2003, May 2003, Oct 2003, Jan 2004, April 2004, Oct/Nov 2004, April 2005, Oct 2005, December 2005, January 2006, May 2006, November 2006, February 2007, September 2007, January 2008, October 2008). Some characters were found by some fellow character hunters who were nice enough to help us out! Unfortunately, we aren't local to Florida (wish we were!!!), so we certainly don't know everything about every character! But we tried to list good places to look and recent reliable sightings of that character!

Must say, sometimes finding a favorite character can be difficult! One day you may see a bunch of characters in one spot, and the next day - not one! Some characters may be everywhere on one trip, and nowhere the next! And some characters come out only for 10 minute meets, then don't return for hours! Yikes! Your best bet to find your favorite character is to read various character websites (check links here!), or ask at Guest Relations at a Disney World park or resort (sometimes they can tell you where a character is meeting people that day), or check the Times Guide Map that you pick up when you enter the Disney World parks. Or just wander around and constantly look everywhere you go! Good luck character hunting!!
