General Info:
The King and the Grand Duke are two characters from the 1950 classic Disney movie Cinderella. The King is the ruler of the land, and father of Prince Charming. The Grand Duke is the poor guy who got the job of carrying the glass slipper
to every young maiden in the city! At Disney World, the two of them were characters in the Cinderellabration show performed in front of Cinderella's Castle. They were never suppose to be doing meets and greets. But occasionally the show would be
cancelled, and the characters would come out for meets instead. This was a pretty unusual thing to happen, but some fortunate guests got to meet the King and the Grand Duke that way! Since the Cinderellebration show is no longer
being performed (as of this writing in 2007), the King and Grand Duke are probably not meetable characters at this time. But hey, at least they got out a few times back then!

Character Hunting Tips: -
Finding a beloved character can be a child (or adult's!) highlight of a trip to
Disney World! On this page, we listed a character we met, also
the places we seen this character on our
week-long trips (Jan 2003, May 2003, Oct 2003, Jan 2004, April 2004, Oct/Nov 2004, April 2005, Oct 2005, December 2005, January 2006, May 2006, November 2006, February 2007, September 2007, January 2008, October 2008).
Some characters were found by some fellow character hunters who were nice
enough to help us out!
Unfortunately, we aren't local to Florida (wish we were!!!), so we certainly don't know
everything about every character!
But we tried to list good places to look and
recent reliable sightings of that character!
Must say, sometimes finding a favorite character can be difficult!
One day you may see a bunch of characters in one spot, and the next day - not one!
Some characters may be everywhere on one trip, and nowhere the next! And some
characters come out only for 10 minute meets, then don't return for hours! Yikes!
Your best
bet to find your favorite character
is to read various character websites (check links here!),
or ask at Guest Relations at a Disney World park or resort (sometimes they
can tell you where a character is meeting people that day),
or check the Times Guide Map that you pick up when
you enter the Disney World parks. Or just wander around
and constantly look everywhere you go! Good luck character hunting!!
