General Info:
Kenai is the young hunter who is magically turned into a bear, from Disney's 2003 movie Brother Bear. In the movie, he is befriended by a younger cub named Koda, who helps him learn the ways of the bear world. At Disney World,
Kenai and Koda are both meet-and-greet characters. They make appearances at Animal Kingdom, either in Camp Minnie-Mickey, or in the front of the park in the area between the ticket turnstiles and the bag check (I think this area is officially called
"The Oaisis"). Not sure how often they are out, but our family has seen them here and there. To tell apart Koda and Kenai, Kenai is taller bear and has lighter brown fur. They used to make appearances in Canada at Epcot, but we heard
they stopped using that location. So Animal Kingdom is the place to go, if you want to meet the Brother Bears.

Character Hunting Tips: -
Finding a beloved character can be a child (or adult's!) highlight of a trip to
Disney World! On this page, we listed a character we met, also
the places we seen this character on our
week-long trips (Jan 2003, May 2003, Oct 2003, Jan 2004, April 2004, Oct/Nov 2004, April 2005, Oct 2005, December 2005, January 2006, May 2006, November 2006, February 2007, September 2007, January 2008, October 2008).
Some characters were found by some fellow character hunters who were nice
enough to help us out!
Unfortunately, we aren't local to Florida (wish we were!!!), so we certainly don't know
everything about every character!
But we tried to list good places to look and
recent reliable sightings of that character!
Must say, sometimes finding a favorite character can be difficult!
One day you may see a bunch of characters in one spot, and the next day - not one!
Some characters may be everywhere on one trip, and nowhere the next! And some
characters come out only for 10 minute meets, then don't return for hours! Yikes!
Your best
bet to find your favorite character
is to read various character websites (check links here!),
or ask at Guest Relations at a Disney World park or resort (sometimes they
can tell you where a character is meeting people that day),
or check the Times Guide Map that you pick up when
you enter the Disney World parks. Or just wander around
and constantly look everywhere you go! Good luck character hunting!!
