General Info:
Jiminy Cricket is one of the most recognizable Disney characters - you must have heard of him! He is from the 1940 Disney classic move Pinocchio. At Disney, he was one of the rarest characters at one point. But since 2006ish, he
has started getting out more, which is great news! He has been making appearances at Animal Kingdom, inside the building at Rafiki's planet Watch & Conservation Station. He also has been popping up at Magic Kingdom, sometimes by the
entrance area (Town Square). People reported seeing him there in late 2007 and into 2008 too. But for both locations, we aren't sure how often he gets out at either (sorry!). But at least with two locations, Jiminy
has become more available to meet all his adoring fans, which he has plenty!

Character Hunting Tips: -
Finding a beloved character can be a child (or adult's!) highlight of a trip to
Disney World! On this page, we listed a character we met, also
the places we seen this character on our
week-long trips (Jan 2003, May 2003, Oct 2003, Jan 2004, April 2004, Oct/Nov 2004, April 2005, Oct 2005, December 2005, January 2006, May 2006, November 2006, February 2007, September 2007, January 2008, October 2008).
Some characters were found by some fellow character hunters who were nice
enough to help us out!
Unfortunately, we aren't local to Florida (wish we were!!!), so we certainly don't know
everything about every character!
But we tried to list good places to look and
recent reliable sightings of that character!
Must say, sometimes finding a favorite character can be difficult!
One day you may see a bunch of characters in one spot, and the next day - not one!
Some characters may be everywhere on one trip, and nowhere the next! And some
characters come out only for 10 minute meets, then don't return for hours! Yikes!
Your best
bet to find your favorite character
is to read various character websites (check links here!),
or ask at Guest Relations at a Disney World park or resort (sometimes they
can tell you where a character is meeting people that day),
or check the Times Guide Map that you pick up when
you enter the Disney World parks. Or just wander around
and constantly look everywhere you go! Good luck character hunting!!
