General Info:
Gaston is the egotisticial, muscle-bound villain from the Disney movie Beauty and the Beast. He thinks he is just the best at everything! Fortunately, Belle has no interest in him, as Beast wins her heart! At Disney World,
Gaston is a super rare character. We didn't even think he existed for meets until a fellow character fan met him in ToonTown at Magic Kingdom, much to all our surprise! We also heard he was out for the 2003 Mickey Not-So-Scary Halloween parties, but
really hasn't been seen much besides that! We heard of freaky rare sightings of him in France at Epcot, but that was probably years back. As for meeting him in the future, no character's status is as uncertain as Gaston's! We have
no idea if or when he will pop up again. Would be nice if Disney did decide to start using him again, as no character greets guests like Gaston!

Character Hunting Tips: -
Finding a beloved character can be a child (or adult's!) highlight of a trip to
Disney World! On this page, we listed a character we met, also
the places we seen this character on our
week-long trips (Jan 2003, May 2003, Oct 2003, Jan 2004, April 2004, Oct/Nov 2004, April 2005, Oct 2005, December 2005, January 2006, May 2006, November 2006, February 2007, September 2007, January 2008, October 2008).
Some characters were found by some fellow character hunters who were nice
enough to help us out!
Unfortunately, we aren't local to Florida (wish we were!!!), so we certainly don't know
everything about every character!
But we tried to list good places to look and
recent reliable sightings of that character!
Must say, sometimes finding a favorite character can be difficult!
One day you may see a bunch of characters in one spot, and the next day - not one!
Some characters may be everywhere on one trip, and nowhere the next! And some
characters come out only for 10 minute meets, then don't return for hours! Yikes!
Your best
bet to find your favorite character
is to read various character websites (check links here!),
or ask at Guest Relations at a Disney World park or resort (sometimes they
can tell you where a character is meeting people that day),
or check the Times Guide Map that you pick up when
you enter the Disney World parks. Or just wander around
and constantly look everywhere you go! Good luck character hunting!!
