General Info:
Flounder is Ariel's best friend, from the 1989 Disney movie The Little Mermaid. But don't call him a guppy! Flounder has been out at the Princess and Pirate parties that take place on certain nights at Magic Kingdom. These parties started
back in 2007. At the parties, Flounder and his Little Mermaid pals host a dance party, in front of Ariel's Grotto. While Flounder isn't officially meeting there (as he is dancing), you can dance along with him and hopefully get a photo. We never
heard of him out on normal park days, only at these parties. And he isn't guaranteed to be at every party, but well, nothing is ever guaranteed with characters! Flounder is also quite large and round at Disney World, as he sure isn't
a little fish here! Flounder also isn't a character who has a lot of mobility, so he doesn't sign autographs. But that is cool that Disney finally got him out there for us to meet!

Character Hunting Tips: -
Finding a beloved character can be a child (or adult's!) highlight of a trip to
Disney World! On this page, we listed a character we met, also
the places we seen this character on our
week-long trips (Jan 2003, May 2003, Oct 2003, Jan 2004, April 2004, Oct/Nov 2004, April 2005, Oct 2005, December 2005, January 2006, May 2006, November 2006, February 2007, September 2007, January 2008, October 2008).
Some characters were found by some fellow character hunters who were nice
enough to help us out!
Unfortunately, we aren't local to Florida (wish we were!!!), so we certainly don't know
everything about every character!
But we tried to list good places to look and
recent reliable sightings of that character!
Must say, sometimes finding a favorite character can be difficult!
One day you may see a bunch of characters in one spot, and the next day - not one!
Some characters may be everywhere on one trip, and nowhere the next! And some
characters come out only for 10 minute meets, then don't return for hours! Yikes!
Your best
bet to find your favorite character
is to read various character websites (check links here!),
or ask at Guest Relations at a Disney World park or resort (sometimes they
can tell you where a character is meeting people that day),
or check the Times Guide Map that you pick up when
you enter the Disney World parks. Or just wander around
and constantly look everywhere you go! Good luck character hunting!!
