He was at MGM for some Star Wars weekends in May and June in 2005. But not sure if he ever been seen again!

General Info:
Darth Tater has got to be one of the most unique characters at Disney World - he is basically Mr. Potato Head dressed up like Darth Vader! And what an unusual tater he is! He was out meeting in 2005 for Star Wars Weekends,
which take place on certain weekends at Disney-MGM Studios in May and June. Fellow character hunters Scott and his family found Darth Tater meeting out front of MGM, near the turnstiles before you enter the park. But in 2006, sadly no one reported
seeing Darth Tater out at Star Wars Weekends. But at least he exists, so maybe someday he will get out again! Never heard of him anywhere but Star Wars Weekend at MGM. Don't know if he ever appeared at the Once Upon A Toy store in DownTown Disney,
as other "toy" characters have appeared there very rarely. I guess Mr. Potato Head gave into the Dark Side!

Character Hunting Tips: -
Finding a beloved character can be a child (or adult's!) highlight of a trip to
Disney World! On this page, we listed a character we met, also
the places we seen this character on our
week-long trips (Jan 2003, May 2003, Oct 2003, Jan 2004, April 2004, Oct/Nov 2004, April 2005, Oct 2005, December 2005, January 2006, May 2006, November 2006, February 2007, September 2007, January 2008, October 2008).
Some characters were found by some fellow character hunters who were nice
enough to help us out!
Unfortunately, we aren't local to Florida (wish we were!!!), so we certainly don't know
everything about every character!
But we tried to list good places to look and
recent reliable sightings of that character!
Must say, sometimes finding a favorite character can be difficult!
One day you may see a bunch of characters in one spot, and the next day - not one!
Some characters may be everywhere on one trip, and nowhere the next! And some
characters come out only for 10 minute meets, then don't return for hours! Yikes!
Your best
bet to find your favorite character
is to read various character websites (check links here!),
or ask at Guest Relations at a Disney World park or resort (sometimes they
can tell you where a character is meeting people that day),
or check the Times Guide Map that you pick up when
you enter the Disney World parks. Or just wander around
and constantly look everywhere you go! Good luck character hunting!!
