General Info:
Beast is the unnamed prince who was turned into an hideous creature, but alas was loved by Belle because of his wonderful heart. He is a character from the 1991 Disney movie Beauty and the Beast. At Disney World,
he often makes appearances in France at Epcot. He could be out on the sidewalk, or inside a little room ("The Library") near the gift shop. Belle is usually with him. In recent years, Beast has also been making appearances at Mickey's Very Merry
Christmas parties at Magic Kingdom, usually in the area across from the Peter Pan ride, in the stroller lof for the Small World ride. Beast has been quite consistant in this location at the prior Christmas parties. But for the everyday guest, France
is definitely the place to find him, though you can hit a week when he's not out. We always wonder what his real name is, but Belle won't say. And don't worry, he usually is quite a gentleman when he does meets!

Character Hunting Tips: -
Finding a beloved character can be a child (or adult's!) highlight of a trip to
Disney World! On this page, we listed a character we met, also
the places we seen this character on our
week-long trips (Jan 2003, May 2003, Oct 2003, Jan 2004, April 2004, Oct/Nov 2004, April 2005, Oct 2005, December 2005, January 2006, May 2006, November 2006, February 2007, September 2007, January 2008, October 2008).
Some characters were found by some fellow character hunters who were nice
enough to help us out!
Unfortunately, we aren't local to Florida (wish we were!!!), so we certainly don't know
everything about every character!
But we tried to list good places to look and
recent reliable sightings of that character!
Must say, sometimes finding a favorite character can be difficult!
One day you may see a bunch of characters in one spot, and the next day - not one!
Some characters may be everywhere on one trip, and nowhere the next! And some
characters come out only for 10 minute meets, then don't return for hours! Yikes!
Your best
bet to find your favorite character
is to read various character websites (check links here!),
or ask at Guest Relations at a Disney World park or resort (sometimes they
can tell you where a character is meeting people that day),
or check the Times Guide Map that you pick up when
you enter the Disney World parks. Or just wander around
and constantly look everywhere you go! Good luck character hunting!!
