General Info:
Baloo is the big lovable bear from the classic 1967 Disney movie The Jungle Book. He is also from the Disney cartoon Tail Spin, where he plays a pilot who always seems to find trouble somewhere. At Disney World, Baloo is often out and
usually easy to find. At Animal Kingdom, Baloo meets on the path from Africa to Asia, often with King Louie, the orangutan from the same movie. The location is near these big drums, and close to the Tamu Tamu Refreshment place. Baloo also sometimes
meets in front of Animal Kingdom, inbetween the ticket turnstiles and bag check tables. He also been known to pop up in other locations around Disney World - at Magic Kingdom, he make rare appearances at the ToonTown Train Station and Adventureland.
We heard of him at Epcot, too (but not sure how recently). But Animal Kingdom is his best location - I don't think we had a trip where we didn't see the very tall lovable Baloo!

Character Hunting Tips: -
Finding a beloved character can be a child (or adult's!) highlight of a trip to
Disney World! On this page, we listed a character we met, also
the places we seen this character on our
week-long trips (Jan 2003, May 2003, Oct 2003, Jan 2004, April 2004, Oct/Nov 2004, April 2005, Oct 2005, December 2005, January 2006, May 2006, November 2006, February 2007, September 2007, January 2008, October 2008).
Some characters were found by some fellow character hunters who were nice
enough to help us out!
Unfortunately, we aren't local to Florida (wish we were!!!), so we certainly don't know
everything about every character!
But we tried to list good places to look and
recent reliable sightings of that character!
Must say, sometimes finding a favorite character can be difficult!
One day you may see a bunch of characters in one spot, and the next day - not one!
Some characters may be everywhere on one trip, and nowhere the next! And some
characters come out only for 10 minute meets, then don't return for hours! Yikes!
Your best
bet to find your favorite character
is to read various character websites (check links here!),
or ask at Guest Relations at a Disney World park or resort (sometimes they
can tell you where a character is meeting people that day),
or check the Times Guide Map that you pick up when
you enter the Disney World parks. Or just wander around
and constantly look everywhere you go! Good luck character hunting!!
