Best Spot for meeting this character (if there is one!): Ariel's Grotto at Magic Kingdom

Your Chances of Finding This Character: Excellent

General Info: Ariel is the beautiful young mermaid who falls in love with a human. She is from the blockbuster 1989 Disney movie The Little Mermaid. This movie single-handedly revived Disney's animated movies, and also catapulted Ariel to stardom! At Disney World, Ariel is so popular that she has a permanent spot for meets and greets at Magic Kingdom. She meet there just about daily, in the back of Fantasyland in her area called Ariel's Grotto. She appears here in mermaid form, fins and all! She also meets in Epcot, at the Princess Storybook meal in Norway. She is not guarenteed to be here everyday, though. She appears at the meal in her human form, wearing a pretty light blue dress. She also appears at the Princess and Pirate parties at Magic Kingdom. So with these 2 good locations at Epcot and Magic Kingdom, it should be easy to find and meet The Little Mermaid herself. Of course, bring your dinglehoppers and snarfblats if your remember!

Places to find The Little Mermaid:

Every Day - Ariel's Grotto in Fantasyland (Magic Kingdom)
Often - Princess Storybook in Akershus in Norway (Epcot) (does not appear everyday - wears a light blue dress here)
Rarely - ToonTown Hall of Fame Character Greeting Rooms (Magic Kingdom) (can be here if her Grotto location is closed)

Character Hunting Tips: - Finding a beloved character can be a child (or adult's!) highlight of a trip to Disney World! On this page, we listed a character we met, also the places we seen this character on our week-long trips (Jan 2003, May 2003, Oct 2003, Jan 2004, April 2004, Oct/Nov 2004, April 2005, Oct 2005, December 2005, January 2006, May 2006, November 2006, February 2007, September 2007, January 2008, October 2008). Some characters were found by some fellow character hunters who were nice enough to help us out! Unfortunately, we aren't local to Florida (wish we were!!!), so we certainly don't know everything about every character! But we tried to list good places to look and recent reliable sightings of that character!

Must say, sometimes finding a favorite character can be difficult! One day you may see a bunch of characters in one spot, and the next day - not one! Some characters may be everywhere on one trip, and nowhere the next! And some characters come out only for 10 minute meets, then don't return for hours! Yikes! Your best bet to find your favorite character is to read various character websites (check links here!), or ask at Guest Relations at a Disney World park or resort (sometimes they can tell you where a character is meeting people that day), or check the Times Guide Map that you pick up when you enter the Disney World parks. Or just wander around and constantly look everywhere you go! Good luck character hunting!!
