St. Patrick's Day 2005
| The first few pictures are from March 5th when Amy, Brad, Christina, Therese, and I went to Margarita Mama's in Station Square. |
| Christina on dollar drink night, haha. |
| We danced for a while, then a tramatic thing happened, we spotted a twin! Between my "no, bad, no, bad", Therese disappearing, Amy and Christina partaking in a 21st birthday celebration, me saying 4 words to scary Jeff "which one is he?" there was lots of drama. I decided to take "10 minutes of alone time" which stretched into much longer than 10 minutes... I found Nick and Matt and talked to them for a while. I met some other guys but one of them ended up being Matt's cousin so that was a little weird. Meanwhile, the bar side of the building started flooding and there was an inch of water on the floor... Eventually I found Brad and we wandered around for the rest of the night and I decided to do some texting (SO sorry Bob!) One of those moments where it seemed like a good idea at the time, but in hindsight, maybe not. I believe partial blame rests on the person who gave me their phone number! I finally found Amy and Christina, but they made us go out the backdoor because of the flood and more confusion ensued. After viewing someone who had gone down in the parking lot (were they shot or stabbed?) we went back to Shadyside. (Remember the Wendy's drive-thru that wasn't open late? Who knew? Haha.) This is me and Brad as we wandered around aimlessly, unable to find a familiar face. |

| St. Patrick's Day! Well, March 12th. Amy and I went to Market Square around 1pm and the walked directly into a blizzard. In the first five minutes we were absolutely covered in snow. I stepped on Amy's glove... We then discovered the joy of the 1902 which was not crowded, warm, and had zero line for the secret restroom. Bill F was there with his friends but I didn't talk to him. Couldn't really think of anything to say... Bizarre happening, we were approached by a guy who asked if I know Kevin Laskey. And he knew my name, and Amy's name! Ironically, Johnathan went to Mt. Pleasant and clicked on the link to here from Kevin's web site, and recognized us from pictures. What are the chances of that happening when there were thousands of people there. Also weird is that he goes to Duquesne law school with Dave Morgan and Bill Blick. It's such a small world... |
| Therese, Jim, and Dan met us a little later. |
| We decided to change locations and headed across Market Square to another place that I don't know the name of. It was on the second floor and had windows across the front. |
| After an incident in the stairwell to the restroom (my thumb still hurts), Amy posed beside the mountain of kegs. That couldn't be her yard of beer because the waitress at the 1902 had already thrown hers away... No Amy, she will not fish it out of the garbage can for you! |
| There was some controversy with a bachelorette party that Amy was supposed to attend, but decided not to at the last minute. She had to give some of the food she made to a friend, so this is Amy laughing histerically in the parking garage, trying to divide the food into two parts. It's the green tupperware that may never resurface. |
| We went to the "Olive or Twist" or whatever the heck it was called to meet Suzie. It was right next to the parking garage so we got there early. |
| These are our new friends Mike, Dave, and Tim. Tim, on the right, looks vaguely familiar, in a substitute gym teacher sort of way. Notice that my leprechaun pin is missing, he was probably swept away into a sewer drain. |
| Ah yes, getting ready for a night out. Amy's quote of the night, "I can't talk on the phone right now because of the way I have to arch my back to carry the beer and pizza." Haha. Her and Jim went to get pizza for us which was great, even though it wasn't Hawaiian as Therese and I so hoped. |
| Christina and Amy at our new usual Saturday place, Margarita Mama's. It was more crowded than I've ever seen it. |
| Amy had a whistle that she kept blowing all day anytime she heard something loud! It was great fun. We saw Nico and Skip aka Chippers from Butler, danced to Save a Horse, and about died of heat when it rose to about 150 degrees on the dance floor. |
| Randy, Andy, Eric, and crew were in town for the weekend. Christina kept making fun of Andy for wearing a jean jacket because it was SO hot in there. Andy almost seemed too nice, I missed the cocky guy I met last summer. Take note of Randy in the upper right, I'm sure he's SO excited to be in a picture with three hot girls. :) |
| I took my 10 minutes and ran into Matt, who was very fun. We watched a guy play with fire on stage and hoped that the place didn't burn to the ground. We danced for a while, including the slow songs at the end of the night (which is so funny for a Pittsburgh club, it's like being at the Butler Clubhouse.) Of course, drama ensued with a girl who didn't like the idea of Matt and I dancing. Incidentally, Christina pointed out that the girl is part of a group at Mercyhurst that didn't like my sister because of someone she was dating years ago. We Sheetz girls stick together! Haha. :) The girl was all talk, Matt apologized, no one asked for my number (despite Randy trying to coerce someone otherwise... yes I heard all that, I just chose to play dumb!) and I didn't have to hit anyone. |
| Christina tried to scare me by getting into a limo full of strange men, just kidding! It was a very fun, long day. There were no text messages sent, no tears, much controversy to add excitement, fun dancing with boys, and only one lost car in the parking garage... |
