Theme Parties & Group Outings
Mixed skill levels (program adjusted based on who turns up!)
It usually takes about 8 weeks of dancing for things to start to "come together" and consecutive attendance helps.
Wear shoes with flexible
soles that stay on well,
preferably with soles no more than 1/2 inch thick, and
thick socks.
New Dancers are always welcome!
Scottish Country Dancing does have a longer learning curve than some other forms of dance but also has many benefits.
BENEFITS OF SCOTTISH
COUNTRY DANCING:
Scottish Country Dances are standardized worldwide
so once you've learned to dance you can visit and dance with
other groups
and attend balls and workshops in other locations.
During my travels I've danced in
Boston, Vancouver and Victoria Canada, Seattle, Hawaii, Santa Fe,
to name a few.
Our group has theme parties, group outings and lots of fun!
It's also good exercise and lifts the spirits to wonderful music!
