DIANNA L. SHIPMAN
Biographical Information

  • I was born in Houston, Texas, Dec. 18, 1949.

  • I've lived all my life in Houston and went to school here, getting a B.A. in English from the University of Houston in 1971 and a law degree also from UH in 1980. I've been a practicing attorney since 1980, focusing mostly on real estate, contracts, small businesses, and wills, trusts and estate planning. Between the law degree and the B.A. I spent several years in the insurance industry.

  • Other interests include dancing (Scottish, English, Ballroom), reading (particularly mysteries - I've even written and sold some mystery role playing games), spending time with friends, creative writing, photography, and traveling.

  • My philosophy in all my activities is to try to increase the self esteem of all involved and build a sense of community.

  • I took up Scottish Country Dancing at the age of 36, never having done much dancing of any kind before.
