Our hotel in Athens, the St. George Lycabettus, was situated on a very lovely steep hill in the fashionable Kolanaki district.  Wonderful views of the Acropolis and Athens...

This is the view from my room at the St. George Lycabettus Hotel.  In the distance at left is the Acropolis.

This is the doorman at the hotel.  This is the only state in which I, personally, ever saw him.  However, I have it from a very reliable source that he was actually seen around midnight once, ardently defending his turf.
