My first full day in Athens began with a visit to the Agora, the site of public life in ancient Athens.  We were guided through this extensively excavated site by Dr. Stephen Diamond, an American archeologist, who came to Athens in the early 1970's to work on the Agora excavations.  He hasn't left yet!  His expertise and enthusiasm made the visit very special...
