For now, I go to Lecanto High School in rural Citrus County, Florida (I moved here from Brooklyn, New York when I was 12). In January 1997, I was very fortunate to take a school trip to Washington, D.C. We went to the Presidential Inaugriation. We visited the Capital, the White House, the museums, monuments and memorials. We watched as our teacher searched for and traced his father's name on the Viet Nam memorial wall. For me and my classmates, American history was no longer just something we read about in books. It was something we could see, touch, and feel in our hearts. History became alive! It is a trip I will never forget. Next summer, I hope to visit Spain with students from each of the High Schools in my county.We will be working together in the coming months to help raise money for our trip. I have been studying the Spanish language, its people and its culture. I am very excited and thankful for this once in a lifetime opportunity to experience it firsthand. In preparation, I will be adding more Spanish links to this site. I love kids and all kinds of animals. I love junk food and TV. I love the old movie musicals like White Christmas, Singing in the Rain and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. I love George Clooney and Sean Connery. And, yes I'll admit it,  I Love Country Music!  |
