The color Photo on the previous page was taken in 1961 (From my "Thunder Storm '61" Web Page) before the Navy made it easier for outgoing US planes to ID incoming Friendly Ships.

The Photo below is from Thunder's 1967 Panama Canal Transit enroute to NAM.
Since the Photo above and the B/W one on the previous page were taken within weeks of each other, we can assume that the Ensign in charge of the mimeograph machine that day made a slight error with the text.
