Lest We Forget...

To Family, Shipmates,
and Other Friends

Last Month, my birthday was on a Tuesday. Since most of my family are still in the
working class, they took me out to a nice birthday dinner on the Sunday before my
birthday. I enjoyed this very much and didn't mind celebrating my birthday with
loved-ones a few days early. After all, we do that with holidays like Labor Day to
give us an extended week-end. So, for the few remaining birthdays that I have left, I
declare that my birthday will be on the Sunday before the anniversary of my entry
into this troubled world. I will reserve September the Eleventh to Remember Others.
