About Pharma-Pen
The company was established as Innoject with the vision of improving the science of injectable drug delivery. Its principal facilites are in Athens, Texas, in the BMC incubator. Innoject was successful in funding their research, in part, with an NIH SBIR grant. The company's flagship product, the Confi·Dose™ auto-injector, was cleared by the FDA in November 2004. The Confi·Dose™ Auto-injector is designed to automate all three steps of the injection process--needle insertion, drug delivery, and needle withdrawal--all with the push of a button. Additional products are currently in late stage development. In 2005, the company's name was changed to Pharma-Pen and Confi·Dose won the Medical Design Excellence Award.
