JOB TITLE: BUYER

DEPARTMENT: PURCHASING

JOB DESCRIPTION:

A: Purpose and Scope

The Buyer is responsible for purchasing products and materials for the company according to the procedures in the company's quality system.

B. Responsibilities

The Buyer is responsible for purchasing products and materials using the Purchasing Procedure, Material Control Procedure and the Supplier/Material Qualification Procedures.

C. Organization Relationships

The Buyer/Requisitioner, regardless of other duties, has an indirect responsibility to the purchasing coordinator to follow the companies purchasing procedures.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

A. Education and Training

Buyer's are required to meet the education and training requirements for his/her respective department.

B. Technical Requirements

Buyer's are required to meet the technical requirements for his/her respective department.

C. Experience

Buyer's are required to meet the experience requirements for his/her respective department.
