1950's Cutwork Crown with Japanned Diamante

Extensive hand sewn beadwork on this vintage beaded crown!

Beautiful beaded buckram crown headpiece

Perfectly suited for any gown.  Hand cut buckram, sewn with rows of white seed beads and small japanned diamante.  The crown sits demurely on the head and adds an air of elegance to any dress.

The buckram has been cut by hand with sewn seed beads and vintage rhinestone.  Shaped with wire, the buckram is stiffened with size so that it will stand upright.  The piece is almost completely hand beaded with white seed beads.  Inside each loop is a small vintage prongset rhinestone set in Japanned settings.  All work was likely done in a cottage industry workshop located in Bavaria, (Czechoslovakia) or in Europe, (Belgium or France)

Above: 19 inches in circumference, .25" at the back, one inch at the sides and 1.75" at center front height.

This item is an authentic, original 1950's wedding crown.  It is nearly 50 years old.

If an item isn't in very good condition, we will state this plainly and without embellishment.

We will never describe an item to make it appear better than it actually is.

Condition of headpiece:  Very Good with consideration given to faint handling of the inner buckram fabric.  The cutwork and hand beading are beautiful and the japanned diamante sparkle elegantly.

This piece should fit just about any size head.
