DGD Annual Family Picnic on Sunday 19 April 2009
On Sunday, April 19, 2009, the Desert Gold Diggers held its annual family
picnic at Reid Park on the southeast side of Tucson. We had a nice turn out,
the weather was wonderful and the people were terrific!!
Johnnie Inman (pictured below) posted a time of 51.69 seconds in his bid to out
pan his Dad, John, his Mom, Melody (pictured below) and son, Ashton (also pictured
below). He did manage to beat two out of three! How wonderful to see that panning
for gold spans 3 generations here! In fact the winners of the panning contest in
each category span another 3 generations, all from the Hackett clan!
A special thanks to all who helped make the picnic a huge success.
