Desert Gold Diggers

DGD Outing to "Great Hope #1" on 8 March 2009

OUTING DIRECTOR'S REPORT

Great day to be in the mountains and at the Great Hope claims. Met at Hwy 83 and Gardner Canyon Road at 8AM and myself and 64 Members and 3 Guests proceeded into the claims.

We set up by the old piece of mining equipment and everyone started looking for their area to look for a little gold. Lots of different equipment as usual and all were finding a little gold. Gary Grant was set up overnight and had a nice showing of gold from his area.

Set up the coin shoot area and put out the coins. I think at least 4 to 5 were found along with a ton of junk in the hunt area. Congratulations to those that found them and remember to bring them into next meeting or let me or an officer know you found one and can't make it.

Elections are happening at the next meeting and this was our last outing as the co-claims directors. Lonnie and I have enjoyed all that participated to make our days fun. Please help the new director have the same great turn outs.

Next month will be the spring road clean up and coin shoot instead of going to an outing at one of the claims. Club will give 20 nuggets away at the coin shoot so come and have fun and meet some new friends.
