The Business Meeting is the third Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. at the Denny's Restaurant, 3655 E. Speedway Blvd., Tucson, AZ. Many matters pertinent to the running of the club are discussed and decided at these meetings. These items consist of such things as the Treasurers report, committee reports, outing schedule, future speakers, public relations and other matters. Any and all members are invited to attend.
The Claims Committee Meetings are usually held on the second Tuesday of every second month at 7:00 p.m. at the Village Inn Restaurant, 4245 E. Speedway, Tucson, AZ. Anyone can participate by attending the meetings. Members of the committee act as claim stewards to take care of and report on conditions of the claims as well as access roads. They also schedule outings for road repair and to improve the parking on the claims. When the work is done, members usually do some prospecting as well. Outings are also held to check out new areas for possible addition to the club claims. This is a great way to see new places and possibly find more gold. Here is a look at one of the claims committee outings to check out a new area.
The meeting time for regular Outings is 7:00 am in the summer months (April-September) and 8:00 am during the winter months (October-March). For further information, see Calendar of Upcoming Events
