Desert Gold Diggers

Club Gold Claims

The current gold claims of the club are given below. Recommended vehicle type to access each claim is also given. Several of the claims can be accessed by regular passenger vehicles and all meeting areas for the monthly outings can be reached by any vehicle. To use the map of the meeting locations, click on a meeting location in the menu for a description of the location area. Click on a marker, or any other point, for a blow-up map of that area. If you need a ride into a claim at a monthly outing, show up at the meeting place early and ask around. Members are very helpful about current road conditions, whether your vehicle is adequate and offering rides if needed. Meeting times and places for the monthly claim outings are given in the DGD Gazette and on the Calendar page.

All club members are given detailed maps of the claim areas with directions and road info. New claims (after 1 January 2001) will be denoted as such to remind members to ask for the new claim maps. It should be noted that the claims committee tests each new claim for gold before adding it to our holdings. Here is a look at one of the claims committee outings. The Claims committee also schedules road repair outings to keep the roads leading to our claims in good order. These are announced in the Gazette and on the Calendar page. The more members that show up, the quicker the job gets done.
