INDUCTIVE BIBLE TOPIC STUDY
UNPARDONABLE SIN
By Dennis Schmidt 2/2007
RETURN TO THE: BIBLE PAPERS HOME PAGE
This paper discusses several unpardonable sins presented in God's word. All scriptures are from the King James'
version Bible.
INDUCTIVE COMMENTS:
THEME: Men who commit
the unpardonable sin called good evil, evil good, and Jesus evil with complete
knowledge of their deeds. They saw the miracles, but rejected them knowing
Jesus is from the kingdom of God.
Paul did not see Jesus miracles, and
he blasphemed in unbelief.
Mark 3:22
"And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem
said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils."
Mark 3:28-30
"Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men,
and blasphemies where with soever they shall
blaspheme: {29} But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath
never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation: {30} Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit."
PURPOSE: They called good evil and Jesus evil: This sin is accounted to those who
did it with knowledge. They saw the miracles, but rejected them knowing Jesus
is from the kingdom of God.
Paul did not see Jesus miracles. When Paul blasphemed, he did it in unbelief.
1 Timothy 1:13
"Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but
I obtained mercy, because I did <it> ignorantly in unbelief."
Paul did his sin in ignorance.
KEY VERSE: They Jesus was a good man from God
because of the miracles and His teachings.
Matthew 12:22-31 "Then was
brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb:
and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw. {23) And all the people were amazed,
and said, Is not this the son of David? {24} But when the
Pharisees heard <it>, they said, This
<fellow> doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince
of the devils. {25} And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every
kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or
house divided against itself shall not stand: {26} And if Satan cast out
Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom
stand? {27} And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils,
by whom do your children cast <them> out? therefore
they shall be your judges. {28} But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of
God, then the kingdom
of God is come unto
you. {29} Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil
his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and
then he will spoil his house. {30} He that is not with me is against me;
and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad. {31} Wherefore
I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men:
but the blasphemy <against> the <Holy> Ghost shall not be
forgiven unto men."
John 3:1-2 "There was a man
of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: {2} The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we
know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these
miracles that thou doest, except God be with him." They Jesus was a good man from God
because of the miracles and His teachings.
WHO: God
mainly by Bible authors Matthew, Luke, John, and Paul
TO WHOM:
Elected Christians
WHAT: They called good evil and Jesus evil:
{28} But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of
God, then the kingdom
of God is come unto
you. {29} Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil
his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and
then he will spoil his house. {30} He that is not with me is against me;
and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad. {31} Wherefore
I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men:
but the blasphemy <against> the <Holy> Ghost shall not be
forgiven unto men."
Matthew 12:33-34 "Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the
tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.
{34} O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak
good things? for out of the abundance of
the heart the mouth speaketh."
Acts 10:38 "How God
anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who
went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the
devil; for God was with him."
John 3:1-2 "There was a man
of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: {2} The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we
know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these
miracles that thou doest, except God be with him."
This sin is accounted to those who did it with knowledge. They saw the
miracles, but rejected, knowing Jesus is from the kingdom
of God. Paul did not see Jesus
miracles, blasphemed in unbelief.
1 Timothy 1:13
"Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but
I obtained mercy, because I did <it> ignorantly in unbelief."
WHY: They called good evil and Jesus evil:
John 16:8-13 "And when
he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of
righteousness, and of judgment: {9} Of
sin, because they believe not on me; {10} Of righteousness, because
I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; {11} Of judgment, because
the prince of this world is judged. {12} I have yet many things to say unto
you, but ye cannot bear them now. {13} Howbeit when
he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into
all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear,
<that> shall he speak: and he will show you things to come."
WAY: The sin is in Mark which
explains it to be saying Jesus is evil.
Mark 3:22
"And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem
said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils."
Mark 3:28-30
"Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men,
and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall
blaspheme: {29} But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath
never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation: {30} Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit."
The same account in Luke states He is the kingdom
of God. Those that committed the
sin had no doubt about Jesus being of God.
Luke 11:15
"But some of them said, He casteth
out devils through Beelzebub the chief of the devils."
Luke 11:20 "But if I
with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come
upon you."
Luke 11:23
"He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth."
WHEREAS: The third
unpardonable sin is a departing from the faith.
1 Timothy 4:1 "Now the
Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter
times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;"
Hebrews 3:9 "When your
fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty
years."
Hebrews 3:12
"Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil
heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God."
Hebrews 6:4-6 "For <it
is> impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted
of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, {5}
And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to
come, {6} If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto
repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and
put <him> to an open shame."
Hebrews 10:26 "For if we sin
wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of
the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for
sins, {27} But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation,
which shall devour the adversaries. {28} He that despised Moses' law died
without mercy under two or three witnesses: {29} Of how much sorer
punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden
under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith
he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the
Spirit of grace?"
An example could be Judas Iscariot (Matthew 26:24 and 27:4-5)
2 Peter 2:20-22 "For if
after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the
knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they
are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is
worse with them than the beginning. {21} For it had been better for them
not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known
<it>, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. {22} But it
is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The
dog <is> turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to
her wallowing in the mire."
God punishment for sin can be more severe, for a similar sin, during various
dispensational periods (such as with Israel's
first King Saul or when Church first started).
Acts 5:3 "But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the
Holy Ghost, and to keep back <part> of the price of the land?"
Acts 5:5 "And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave
up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.
1 Corinthians 11:29-30 "For
he that eateth and drinketh
unworthily, eateth and drinketh
damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. {30} For
this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep."
WHERE:
Earth
WHEN: All time periods
WHILE:
The first unpardonable sin is to die without ever receiving Jesus.
Romans 10:13
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
If they don't call upon Jesus means they are lost.
John 3:36
"He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that
believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him." Does not
believe equals spiritually dead.
WAIT: The fourth unpardonable sin is to receive
the mark of the beast and worship him in the End Times – Day of the Lord.
Revelation 13:16 "And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and
bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:"
God does give warning and knowledge of the results of the sin of worship the
Anti-Christ beast whose number will be 666.
Revelation 14:9-11 "And the
third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any
man worship the beast and his image, and receive <his> mark
in his forehead, or in his hand, {10} The same shall drink of the
wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup
of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in
the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: {11} And the
smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and
ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his
image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his
name."
Revelation 19:20
"And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet
that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had
received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image.
These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with
brimstone."
Revelation 20:4 "And I
saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto
them: and <I saw> the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness
of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the
beast, neither his image, neither had received <his> mark
upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and
reigned with Christ a thousand years."
There is no hope for a person who truly commits the unpardonable sin. Pray
should not be made to God for that person.
1 John 5:16
"If any man see his brother sin a sin <which is> not unto death, he
shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There
is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it."
That person conscience would be seared and would curse God or want nothing
to do with God. God would send them evil spirit (King Saul 1
Samuel 16:14-15)
or reprobate mind (maybe Judas).
1 Timothy 4:2 "Speaking
lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot
iron;" Depart faith: see 1 Tim 4:1
Romans 1:28
"And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave
them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not
convenient;"

I) ONE WHO DOES NOT CALL
UPON THE LORD DURING THEIR LIFE:
The first unpardonable sin is to die without ever receiving Jesus.

believe equals spiritually dead.
II) SIN AGAINST THE HOLY
SPIRIT (BLASPHEMY AGAINST THE HOLY GHOST):
The second unpardonable sin is to understand and see God's (Jesus) perfect
good works (miracles) and call him evil.
See my paper: "Triunity -
Father, Son, & Holy Spirit" for more information on this subject.
See my paper: "Godhead
Relationship" for

John 16:8-13 "And when
he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of
righteousness, and of judgment: {9} Of
sin, because they believe not on me; {10} Of righteousness, because
I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; {11} Of judgment, because
the prince of this world is judged. {12} I have yet many things to say unto
you, but ye cannot bear them now. {13} Howbeit when

{28} But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of
God, then the kingdom
of God is come unto
you. {29} Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil
his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and
then he will spoil his house. {30} He that is not with me is against me;
and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad. {31} Wherefore
I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men:
but the blasphemy <against> the <Holy> Ghost shall not be
forgiven unto men."
III) THEY CALLED GOOD
EVIL AND JESUS EVIL:
Matthew 12:33-34 "Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the
tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.
{34} O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak
good things? for out of the abundance of
the heart the mouth speaketh."
See my paper: "Apostasy" for more information on this subject.
See my paper:, "Born with
Sin/Father is Devil (Prior to Rebirth)" for more information on this subject.
The sin is in Mark which explains it to be saying Jesus is evil.
Acts 10:38 "How God
anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who
went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the
devil; for God was with him."
John 3:1-2 "There was a man

know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these
miracles that thou doest, except God be with him."
IV) FALLS AWAY OR DEPART
FROM THE FAITH (APOSTATIZE):
The third unpardonable sin is a departing from the faith.
See my paper: "Presevation and perservance of
the Elect" for more
information on this subject.
1 Timothy 4:1 "Now the
Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter
times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;"
Hebrews 3:9 "When your
fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty
years."
Hebrews 3:12
"Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil
heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God."
Hebrews 6:4-6 "For <it
is> impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted
of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, {5}
And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to
come, {6} If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto
repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and
put <him> to an open shame."
Hebrews 10:26 "For if we sin

which shall devour the adversaries. {28} He that despised Moses' law died

An example could be Judas Iscariot (Matthew 26:24 and 27:4-5)
2 Peter 2:20-22 "For if
after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the

are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is
worse with them than the beginning. {21} For it had been better for them

V) MARK OF THE BEAST:
The fourth unpardonable sin is to receive the mark of the beast and worship
him.
See my paper: "End Times
Events - Day of the Lord" for more information on this subject.
Revelation 13:16 "And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and
bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:"
God does give warning and knowledge of the results of the sin.
Revelation 14:9-11 "And the

See my paper: "Antichrist" for more information on this subject.
