RETURN TO THE: BIBLE PAPERS HOME PAGE
This paper discusses Justification or to be made righteous to God. The Christian
is justified by the righteousness of Jesus' completed work imputed to them. God
restores a right relationship with guilty sinner by Jesus redemption to divine
favor by His grace through the faith of Christ. All scriptures are from the
King James' version Bible.
INDUCTIVE COMMENTS:
THEME:
JUSTIFICATION: Counted,
imputed, & declared free from guilt acceptable to God by the righteousness
of Jesus' atonement. Jesus carries their sins & imputes His righteousness
to them.
G1344. dikaioo, dik-ah-yo'-o; from G1342; to render (i.e. show or regard
as) just or innocent:--free, justify (-ier), be
righteous.
Romans 3:30-31 "Seeing it
is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by
faith, and uncircumcision through
faith. {31} Do we then make void the law through faith? God
forbid: yea, we establish the law." God justifies man by
faith & establishes the law.
- Justified by faith by imputed righteousness of Christ given us by God's
grace and not our works.
Galatians 3:23-25 "But before
faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which
should afterwards be revealed. {24} Wherefore the
law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that
we might be justified by faith. {25} But after that faith is come,
we are no longer under a schoolmaster." Law is our schoolmaster to
bring us to faith in Christ.
- Kept under law until faith came then justified by faith and no longer

PURPOSE: Just if we never
had sinned
JESUS WAS RAISED AGAIN FOR OUR JUSTIFICATION
& PEACE WITH GOD:
Romans 4:23-5:2 "Now it
was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; {24}
But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we
believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; {25}
Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our
justification. {5:1} Therefore being
justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord
Jesus Christ: {2} By whom also we have access by faith into this
grace wherein we stand, & rejoice in hope of the glory of
God." Verses 4:25-5:1 Raised
from dead, faith in God then peace
JUSTIFIED BY JESUS FAITH NOT OUR OWN:
Galatians 2:16 "Knowing
that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the
faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ,
that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not
by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be
justified." Verse 16 - Justified by Christ Jesus faith not our own
faith.
KEY VERSE: GOD'S
PROCESS INCLUDES OUR JUSTIFICATION:
Romans 8:28-31
"And we know that all things work together for good to them that
love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
{29} For whom he did foreknow, he
also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that
he might be the firstborn among many brethren. {30} Moreover whom he
did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he
called, them he also justified: and whom he justified,
them he also glorified. {31} What
shall we then say to these things? If God be for
us, who can be against us?" God is in control of our
salvation plan.

WHY: JUSTIFIED BY GOD'S GRACE THROUGH THE REDEMPTION
IN CHRIST JESUS:
Romans 3:20-28 "Therefore by
the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by
the law is the knowledge of sin. {21} But now the righteousness
of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the
prophets; {22} Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of
Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no
difference: {23} For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of
God; {24} Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption
that is in Christ Jesus: {25} Whom God hath set forth to be a
propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness
for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
{26} To declare, I say, at this time his
righteousness: that he might be just, and the
justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. {27} Where is boasting
then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of
faith. {28} Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith
without the deeds of the law." 24 - Justified by His grace.
Romans 5:17-21 "For if by
one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive
abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by
one, Jesus Christ. {18} Therefore as by the offence of one judgment
came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness
of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification
of life. {19} For as by one man's
disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall
many be made righteous. {20} Moreover the law entered, that the
offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more
abound: {21} That as sin hath reigned unto
death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal
life by Jesus Christ our Lord." Verse 18
- By righteousness of one (Jesus) justification of life.
Titus 3:5-7 "Not
by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy
he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the
Holy Ghost; {6} Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ
our Saviour; {7} That being justified by his
grace, we should be made heirs according to the he shed on us
abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour hope
of eternal life." Verse 7 - Being justified by his grace.

all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of
Moses." Verse 39 - By him (Jesus) all that believe are justified from
all things (Free of guilt for their sins).

whom God imputeth righteousness without works,
{7} Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven,
and whose sins are covered. {8} Blessed
is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. {9} Cometh this blessedness then upon the circumcision only,
or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for
righteousness. {10} How was it then
reckoned? when he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision. {11} And he received the sign of
circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet
being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that
believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be
imputed unto them also: {12} And the father of circumcision to them who are
not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of
