INDUCTIVE COMMENTS:
THEME:
God is a Spirit, and we
should worship Him in spirit and in truth.
John 4:22-24 "Ye worship ye know
not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
{23} But the hour cometh, and now is, when
the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for
the Father seeketh such to worship him. {24} God
is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in
spirit and in truth." True worship of God is by the Spirit & truth
which is given to those that worship the Jewish Messiah Jesus whose name is
salvation.
1 John 5:5-8 "Who is he that overcometh
the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? {6} This is he that came by water and blood, even
Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit
that beareth witness, because the Spirit is
truth. {7} For there are three that bear
record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost:
and these three are one. {8} And there are
three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water,
and the blood: and these three agree in one." The Triunity
Godhead is shown by the three: Father, Word, & Holy Ghost who bear witness
in heaven as one that bear witness in earth as three agree in one.
PURPOSE: The Christian is centered about Jesus and led by God’s
Holy Spirit to perfection.

condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the
flesh, but after the Spirit. {2} For
the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of
sin and death." Spirit of life in Christ Jesus - God's Spirit within
the Christian empowers him to walk after the Spirit and not the flesh.

shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth
in you." Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus and His Spirit that dwelled
in you - God's Spirit raises you to life from your spiritual death.

him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of
counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;"

WHO: God
mainly by Bible authors Isaiah, Daniel, Matthew, Luke, John, and Paul
TO WHOM:
Elected Christians
WHAT:
Holy Spirit is God who provides
gifts, blessings, and grace to God’s elect.
The words Trinity and Triunity are not found in the
Bible. However, the Triunity theological doctrine or teaching is found in the
Bible to support one God, one essence, one being, one nature, and one divine
Spirit who is indivisible which manifests Himself eternally as Father,
Son, and Holy Spirit three distinct equal substances. The three
manifestations always act in unity and agreement, and they have an order of
Father to Son to Holy Spirit. They are not divided since there is a qualitative unique oneness acting in three
separate personalities. What is most important is God can not be divided
into three persons (as humans) which is not found in
the Bible. If you see Jesus, you see the entire Godhead bodily (see Colossians 2:9). He is one God eternally always Father, Son, &
Holy Spirit who shows Himself in these three characteristic ways. God is seen
in His creation as in Romans
1:19-20, but His
unique oneness can not be compared to or conceived by observing the created or
nature order. His oneness is seen by His word the Bible.
Acts 5:3-4 "But Peter said, Ananias,
why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep
back part of the price of the land? {4} Whiles it remained, was it not
thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine
own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine
heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but
unto God." You did not lied unto men, but
unto God: Holy Spirit.
Romans 1:19-20 "Because that which may be known of God is
manifest in them; for God hath showed it unto them. {20} For the
invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being
understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead;
so that they are without excuse:" Nature in the creation shows there is a
God.
WHY:
To guide & direct the
body of Christ, his church, on earth.
John 4:22-24 "Ye worship ye know
not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
{23} But the hour cometh, and now is, when
the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for
the Father seeketh such to worship him. {24} God
is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in
spirit and in truth." True worship of God is by the Spirit & truth
which is given to those that worship the Jewish Messiah Jesus whose name is
salvation.
WAY:
Every gift, blessing,
& grace to Christian is from God’s Spirit as an intercessor,
consoler: -- advocate, comforter.
John 14:16-18 "And I will pray the Father, and he
shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
{17} Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot
receive, because it seeth him not, neither
knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. {18} I
will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you." The
Comforter is the Holy Spirit to abide with the Christian.
John 16:7-11 "Nevertheless
I tell you the truth; It is expedient for
you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not
come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. {8}
And when he is come, he will reprove the
world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: {9} Of
sin, because they believe not on me; {10} Of righteousness, because
I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; {11} Of judgment, because
the prince of this world is judged." Holy Spirit is the comforter who
was sent by Jesus and the Father to guide the Christians.
John 16:13-15 "Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth,
is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not
speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall
he speak: and he will show you things to come. {14} He shall
glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto
you. {15} All things that the Father
hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall
show it unto you." The Holy Spirit is means for Christian to
center on Jesus.
Acts 8:15-19
"Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that
they might receive the Holy Ghost: {16} (For as yet he was fallen upon
none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)
{17} Then laid they their hands on them,
and they received the Holy Ghost. {18} And when Simon saw that
through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he
offered them money, {19} Saying, Give me also this power, that on
whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost." Receive
power of Holy Ghost baptism by laying on of hand.
1 Corinthians 2:10-14 "But God hath revealed them unto us by
his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all
things, yea, the deep things of God.
{11} For what man knoweth
the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth
no man, but the Spirit of God. {12} Now we
have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which
is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of
God. {13} Which things also we speak, not in
the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but
which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing
spiritual things with spiritual. {14} But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for
they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because
they are spiritually discerned." The Holy Spirit of God knows all
things and brings the person to Christ. The natural man can not receive Jesus
as savior without the Holy Spirit.
1 Corinthians 12:1-14 "Now concerning spiritual gifts,
brethren, I would not have you ignorant. {2} Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb
idols, even as ye were led. {3} Wherefore I
give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no
man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. {4} Now there are diversities of gifts, but the
same Spirit. {5} And there are
differences of administrations, but the same Lord. {6} And there are diversities of operations, but it is
the same God which worketh all in all. {7} But
the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. {8}
For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the
word of knowledge by the same Spirit; {9} To another faith by the same Spirit;
to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; {10} To another
the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another
discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to
another the interpretation of tongues: {11} But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing
to every man severally as he will. {12} For as the
body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that
one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
{13} For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we
be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been
all made to drink into one Spirit. {14} For
the body is not one member, but many." Holy Ghost allows
Christian to call upon Jesus as the Lord and will not let them curse Jesus. The
Spirit gives the gifts including baptism to the Christians as He wills.
WHEREAS: The Christian is centered about Jesus and led by God’s
Holy Spirit to perfection.
Romans 8:1-2 "There is therefore now no
condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the
flesh, but after the Spirit. {2} For
the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of
sin and death." Spirit of life in Christ Jesus - God's Spirit within
the Christian empowers him to walk after the Spirit and not the flesh.
Romans 8:11 "But if the Spirit of him that raised up
Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead
shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth
in you." Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus and His Spirit that dwelled
in you - God's Spirit raises you to life from your spiritual death.

Everywhere at anytime for whatever
purpose.

And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters." God
created and the Spirit of God moved across the waters.

affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them:
in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them,
and carried them all the days of old. {10} But
they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned
to be their enemy, and he fought against them. {11} Then he
remembered the days of old, Moses, and his people, saying, Where
is he that brought them up out of the sea with the shepherd of his flock? where is he that put his holy Spirit within him?
{12} That led them by the right hand of
Moses with his glorious arm, dividing the water before them, to make
himself an everlasting name? {13} That
led them through the deep, as an horse in the wilderness, that they should
not stumble? {14} As a beast goeth
down into the valley, the Spirit of the LORD caused him to rest: so
didst thou lead thy people, to make thyself a glorious name."

Jesus. They rebelled against Holy Spirit of God.

A) HOW IS THE TRINITY EXPLAINED? The Holy
Spirit is one of the manifestations of the Godhead.
See my paper: "Triunity
- Father, Son, & Holy Spirit" for more information on this subject.
Romans 1:19-20 "Because that which may be known of God is
manifest in them; for God hath showed it unto them. {20} For the
invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being
understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead;
so that they are without excuse:" Nature in the creation shows there is a

one LORD:"

is a compound one shown also in one flesh in Genesis 2:24.

his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one
flesh." Man and his wife = one or echad

down into the valley, the Spirit of the LORD caused him to rest: so
didst thou lead thy people, to make thyself a glorious name."
The Father is speaking here about the Triunity Godhead. The angel of His presence who redeemed them is
Jesus. They rebelled against Holy Spirit of God.
Matthew 28:18-20 "And Jesus came and spake
unto them, saying, All power is given unto
me in heaven and in earth. {19} Go ye therefore, and teach all
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son,
and of the Holy Ghost: {20} Teaching them to observe all things
whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway,
even unto the end of the world. Amen." Jesus words show the Triunity
Godhead - Father, Son, & Holy Ghost are each coequals.

why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep
back part of the price of the land? {4} Whiles it remained, was it not
thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine
own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine
heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but
unto God." You did not lied unto men, but
unto God: Holy Spirit.
Ephesians 4:3-6 "Endeavouring
to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. {4}
There is one body, and one Spirit, even

all, and through all, and in you all." Unity of the Spirit -

Hebrews 9:13-15 "For if the blood of bulls and of goats,
and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth
to the purifying of the flesh: {14} How much more shall the blood of
Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to
God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
{15} And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by
means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under
the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of
eternal inheritance." The Triunity Godhead is shown by the blood of
Jesus Christ through the "eternal Spirit" to God.

Godhead is shown by the three: Father, Word, & Holy Ghost who bear witness
in heaven as one that bear witness in earth as three agree in one.

taught in the temple, How say the scribes
that Christ is the son of David? {36} For David himself said by the Holy
Ghost, The LORD said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till
I make thine enemies thy footstool. {37} David therefore himself calleth him Lord; and whence is he then his son? And the
common people heard him gladly." Jesus refers to David's prophecies by the
Holy Ghost's inspiration.

inspiration.

on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, {2} That the
sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took
them wives of all which they chose. {3} And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man,
for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
{4} There were giants in the earth in those days; and also
after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men,
and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were
of old, men of renown. {5} And God saw that the wickedness of man was
great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his
heart was only evil continually." God says that His Spirit is not
always going to strive with His creation evil minds.
Judges 15:14-15 "And when he came unto Lehi, the Philistines shouted against him: and the
spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and the cords that were upon

enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a
standard against him. {20} And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in
Jacob, saith the LORD. {21} As for me, this is my covenant with
them, saith the LORD; My spirit that is upon thee, and my
words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth,
nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's
seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and for ever." The

unto me, saying, This is the word of the
LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might,
nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts."

B) THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD IS
COUNSELOR TO MAN:

a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his
name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor,

of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended
the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales,
and the hills in a balance? {13} Who
hath directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counsellor hath taught him? {14} With
whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught
him in the path of judgment, and taught him knowledge, and showed
to him the way of understanding?" See the two New Testament scriptures
below for support of this scripture.

Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.
{14} And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many
shall rejoice at his birth. {15} For he
shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor
strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from
his mother's womb." Before John's birth he was saved & had the
Holy Spirit in him.

VII) THE HOLY SPIRIT IN JESUS' LIFE:
A) HOLY GHOST IN JESUS BIRTH:
Matthew 1:18-21 "Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this
wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they
came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. {19} Then
Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public
example, was minded to put her away privily. {20} But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel
of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son
of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is
conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. {21} And
she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for
he shall save his people from their sins." God the Holy Ghost came
upon Mary resulting in the birth of Jesus God's only begotten Son.
Luke 1:35 "And the angel answered and said unto her, The
Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall
overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of
thee shall be called the Son of God." God the Father & God the
Holy Spirit are in Jesus.
See my paper: "Original
Sin & Its Results" for more information on this subject.
B) THE HOLY SPIRIT WAS AT THE
PRESENTATION OF BABY JESUS IN TEMPLE:
Luke 2:25-26 "And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man
was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him. {26} And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that
he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ."
Simeon had God's revelation to see Jesus by the Holy Spirit.
C) JESUS AND HOLY SPIRIT ARE THE LORD:

whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ." God is called
Lord & Jesus is God is Lord.
2 Corinthians 3:17 "Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where
the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty."
God is called Lord & the Holy Spirit is God is Lord.
D) JESUS BAPTISM WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT
& THE FATHER'S PRESENTS:
Matthew 3:16-4:1
"And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out
of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he
saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
{17} And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my
beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. {4:1} Then
was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil."
The Triunity Godhead Holy Spirit & Father are present at Jesus baptism.
E) JESUS MINISTERED IN THE POWER OF
HOLY SPIRIT:
Isaiah 11:1-5 "And there shall come forth a rod out of the
stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: {2} And the
spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and
understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of
knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; {3} And shall make him of quick
understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the
sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:
{4} But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with
equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the
rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the
wicked. {5} And righteousness shall be the
girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins."
Jesus did everything in the power of the seven fold Holy Spirit of the LORD
God.
Matthew 12:27-28 "And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by
whom do your children cast them out? therefore they
shall be your judges. {28} But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God,
then the kingdom
of God is come unto you." Jesus, by the Holy Spirit of God cast out the devils.
Luke 4:18-19 "The Spirit of the Lord is upon
me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he
hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the
captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty
them that are bruised, {19} To preach the acceptable year of the Lord."
From Isaiah 61:1-2. Holy Spirit started Jesus ministry.
John 6:63 "It is the spirit that quickeneth;
the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that
I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are
life." The Holy Spirit is the very words of God, the Bible, which is
life to those who can hear them
Acts 10:38 "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy
Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all
that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him." Jesus
the human man did everything in the power of the Holy Spirit for God was with
Him.
Romans 1:3-4 "Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord,
which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; {4} And declared
to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness,
by the resurrection from the dead:" The Power of the Holy Spirit
declared Him as God
F) JESUS AT HIS DEATH COMMENDS HIS
SPIRIT TO GOD:
Luke 23:46-47 "And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice,
he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having
said thus, he gave up the ghost. {47} Now when the centurion saw what
was done, he glorified God, saying, Certainly
this was a righteous man." At Jesus death.
VIII) THE HOLY SPIRIT GIVEN TO
CHRISTIANS AT THEIR SALVATION:
A) THE CHRISTIAN IS BORN AGAIN
THROUGH THE SPIRIT OF GOD:
John 3:5-8 "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say
unto thee, Except a man be born of water and
of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. {6} That which is
born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
{7} Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye
must be born again. {8} The wind bloweth where it listeth, and
thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell
whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is
every one that is born of the Spirit." Born from
above produces the characteristics of God within him, & God's Holy Spirit
in his spirit.
See my paper: "True
Gospel for Salvation by the Imputed Righteousness of Jesus" for more information on this subject.
John 7:37-39 "In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus
stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me,
and drink. {38} He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said,
out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. {39} (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on
him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because
that Jesus was not yet glorified.)" After Jesus left the earth, He
sent the Holy Ghost to provide us His power.
See my paper: "What
is a Born-Again & How to Become One?" for more information on this subject.
Acts 10:44-47 "While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them
which heard the word. {45} And they of the circumcision which believed were
astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the
Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. {46} For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify
God. Then answered Peter, {47} Can
any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which
have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?" God provides the Baptism
of Holy Spirit with tongues as outward sign of receiving the gift.
Acts 19:2-6 "He said unto them, Have
ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any
Holy Ghost. {3} And he said unto them, Unto what
then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's
baptism. {4} Then said Paul, John verily baptized with
the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe
on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. {5} When they heard this, they were baptized in the
name of the Lord Jesus. {6} And when Paul
had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them;
and they spake with tongues, and prophesied."
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit with tongues is a natural continuation of God's
power in the Christian.
2 Corinthians 3:2-3 "Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known
and read of all men: {3} Forasmuch as ye are manifestly
declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with
ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of
stone, but in fleshly tables of the heart." The Christian's
heart becomes new in the rebirth, and he becomes a living letter of God.
B) THE CHRISTIAN IS MADE CLEAN BY THE
SPIRIT:
Romans 8:1-27 "There is therefore now no
condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the
flesh, but after the Spirit. [POWER OVER SIN] {2} For
the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of
sin and death. {3} For what the law could not do, in that it was
weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of
sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: {4} That
the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not
after the flesh, but after the Spirit. [POWER TO FULFILL THE LAW] {5}
For they that are after the flesh do mind
the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things
of the Spirit. {6} For to be carnally
minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and
peace. [POWER OF THE MIND OF GOD] {7} Because
the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to
the law of God, neither indeed can be. {8} So
then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. {9} But ye are not in
the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God
dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is
none of his. {10} And if Christ be in
you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is
life because of righteousness. [POWER OF RIGHTEOUSNESS] {11} But if
the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he
that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by
his Spirit that dwelleth in you. [POWER OF LIFE
FOR YOUR BODY] {12} Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not
to the flesh, to live after the flesh. {13} For
if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit
do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. [POWER OF DEATH TO YOUR
FLESH] {14} For as many as are led by the Spirit
of God, they are the sons of God. {15} For
ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have
received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
{16} The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit,
that we are the children of God: [POWER OF KNOWING & TESTIFYING WE
ARE GOD'S CHILDREN] {17} And if children, then heirs; heirs of
God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him,
that we may be also glorified together. [POWER OF GLORIFICATION] {18}
For I reckon that the sufferings of this
present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which
shall be revealed in us. {19} For the
earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the
manifestation of the sons of God. [POWER OF MANIFESTED SONS OF GOD] {20}
For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of
him who hath subjected the same in hope, {21} Because the creature
itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious
liberty of the children of God. [POWER OF LIBERTY] {22} For we know
that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. {23} And not
only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits
of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the
adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. [POWER OF
ADOPTION, REDEMPTION, OF OUR BODY] {24} For
we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what
a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
{25} But if we hope for that we see not,
then do we with patience wait for it. {26} Likewise the Spirit also helpeth
our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought:
but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us
with groanings which cannot be uttered. [POWER OF
PRAYER] {27} And he that searcheth
the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit,
because he maketh intercession for the saints
according to the will of God. [POWER OF THE MIND OF THE SPIRIT &
INTERCESSION FOR THE WILL OF GOD]" The Spirit knows what the Christian
needs to guide him.
1 Corinthians 6:10-11 "Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor
revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
{11} And such were some of you: but ye are
washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name
of the Lord Jesus, & by the Spirit of our God." The
Spirit cleaned the Christian of his sins and justifies him.
See my paper: "Salvation
Biblical Word Glossary" for more information on this subject.
Titus 3:4-6 "But after that the kindness and love of God
our Saviour toward man appeared, {5} Not by
works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he
saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the
Holy Ghost; {6} Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;" Renewals of the Holy Spirit by refilling
is needed.
C) THE CHRISTIAN IS SEALED BY THE
HOLY SPIRIT UNTO GOD:
2 Corinthians 1:21-22 "Now he which stablisheth
us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God;
{22} Who hath also sealed us, and given
the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts."The
Spirit seals the Christian providin assurance for
life.
Ephesians 1:12-14 "That we should be to the praise of his glory,
who first trusted in Christ. {13} In whom ye also trusted, after
that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in
whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy
Spirit of promise, {14} Which is the earnest of our inheritance until
the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his
glory." The Holy Spirit is given as a seal of promise inheritance until
the redemption occurs.
See my paper: "Imputed/Reckoned/Counted
Righteousness of Jesus" for more information on this subject.
1 John 3:24 "And he that keepeth
his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in
him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us,
by the Spirit which he hath given us" Spirit assurance abides
within the Christian that he knows his saved.
1 John 4:2 "Hereby know ye the Spirit
of God: Every spirit that confesseth that
Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:" Christian's confession
of Jesus Christ coming in the flesh is by Spirit.
1 John 4:6 "We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he
that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know
we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error."
The Holy Spirit of truth is of God. The spirit of error is of satan.
1 John 4:12-14 "No man hath seen God at any time. If
we love one another, God dwelleth in us,
and his love is perfected in us. {13} Hereby
know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given
us of his Spirit. {14} And we have seen and do
testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour
of the world." Christian's love, faith, confession, & assurance is
by Spirit
IX) RECEIVING THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY
SPIRIT WITH TONGUES:
A) THE CHRISTIAN'S BAPTISM OF THE HOLY
GHOST WITH FIRE:
Matthew 3:11 "I indeed baptize you with water unto
repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes
I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and
with fire:" This shows a second baptism first for repentance and
second Holy Spirit baptism.
B) HOW TO RECEIVE THE BAPTISM OF HOLY
SPIRIT:
See my paper: "Holy
Spirit Baptism" for more information on this subject.
Luke 11:9-13 "And I say unto you, Ask, and it
shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock,
and it shall be opened unto you. {10} For every
one that asketh receiveth;
and he that seeketh findeth;
and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. {11} If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a
father, will he give him a stone? or if he
ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? {12} Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?
{13} If ye then, being evil, know
how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly
Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?" Request from God
will be honored including the gift of Holy Spirit.
See my paper: "Prayer"
for more

knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. {18} I
will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you." Father

ye have been with me from the beginning." Jesus sends the Spirit.
John 16:7-11 "Nevertheless
I tell you the truth; It is expedient for
you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not
come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. {8}
And when he is come, he will reprove the
world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: {9} Of
sin, because they believe not on me; {10} Of righteousness, because
I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; {11} Of judgment, because

baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins,
and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. {39} For

none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)
Acts 11:15-18 "And as I began to speak, the Holy
Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning. {16} Then
remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he
said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with
the Holy Ghost. {17} Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he
did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was
I, that I could withstand God? {18} When
they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God,
saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life."
The order of God for man is faith, repentance, water baptism in Jesus name, and

POWER WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT:

this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means
he is made whole; {10} Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of
Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye
crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man
stand here before you whole." Power to heal given to Peter in the name of

him come unto me, and drink. {38} He that believeth on me, as the
scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
{39} (But this spake he of the Spirit, which
they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given;
because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)" The living water of
Holy Ghost is praying in tongues which is God within
the Christian praying with the Christians voice to God.

separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. {20} But ye,
beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in
the Holy Ghost, {21} Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking
for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life." Praying in
Holy Spirit, by tongues, builds up the Christian's faith, keeping one in love
of God & His mercy.
See my paper: "Is
the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the Evidence of Tongues of God or the
Devil?" for
more information on this subject.
X) THE HOLY SPIRIT SUPPLIES GOD'S
GIFTS TO MINISTRIES:
A) THE CHRISTIAN HAS GOD'S HOLY
SPIRIT TO HELP US LOVE AND LIVE IN HOLINESS:
1 Thessalonians 4:6-9 "That no man go beyond and defraud his
brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such,
as we also have forewarned you and testified. {7} For God
hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness. {8} He therefore
that despiseth, despiseth
not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy
Spirit. {9} But as touching brotherly love
ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to
love one another." God has given us His Holy Spirit to teach us to
love one another & is against uncleanness unto holiness.
B) HOLY SPIRIT GUIDES MAN TO CENTER
ON JESUS:
John 16:13-15 "Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth,
is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not
speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall
he speak: and he will show you things to come. {14} He shall
glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto
you. {15} All things that the Father
hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall
show it unto you." The Holy Spirit is means for Christian to
center on Jesus.
C) HOLY SPIRIT GUIDES THE CHURCH IN
TYPES AND GIFTS OF MINISTRIES:
Acts 6:2-3 "Then the twelve called the multitude of the
disciples unto them, and said, It
is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables. {3} Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of
honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may
appoint over this business." The Holy Spirit is needed to guide all

brethren, I would not have you ignorant.
{7} But
the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. {8}
For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the
word of knowledge by the same Spirit; {9} To another faith by the same Spirit;
to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; {10} To another
the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another
discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to
another the interpretation of tongues: {11} But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing
to every man severally as he will.
2 Timothy 1:6-7 "Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou
stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.
{7} For God hath not given us the spirit of fear;
but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." God
gave the gift of Holy Spirit to Christians as the Spirit of power, love, &
a sound mind to counter the devil's spirit of fear.
D) HOLY SPIRIT GUIDES THE CHURCH IN
WHERE THEIR MINISTRIES SHOULD GO:
Acts 8:29-30
"Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot. {30} And Philip ran thither
to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias,

in the chariot and tghe Spirit also guide that man to
read Esaias so that Philip could preach to him Jesus.

Acts 13:2-4 "As they ministered to the Lord, and
fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for
the work whereunto I have called them. {3} And when
they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they
sent them away. {4} So they, being sent forth
by the Holy Ghost, departed unto Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus." The Holy Ghost decided to have Saul and

they assayed to go into Bithynia: but the Spirit suffered
them not." The Holy Ghost guides the Christians where to go to
minister.
Romans 15:17-19 "I have therefore whereof I may glory through
Jesus Christ in those things which pertain to God. {18} For I will not
dare to speak of any of those things which Christ hath not wrought by me, to
make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed, {19} Through mighty
signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from
Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have
fully preached the gospel of Christ." The Holy Spirit of God produced
signs & wonders in Paul's ministry to guide him where, how, and to whom to

his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all
things, yea, the deep things of God.

{2} This only would I learn of you, Received
ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
{3} Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made
perfect by the flesh? {4} Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain. {5} He
therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and
worketh miracles among you, doeth
he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?"

for ever, a joy of wild asses, a pasture of flocks; {15} Until the spirit be
poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field,
and the fruitful field be counted for a forest. {16} Then judgment
shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the fruitful
field. {17} And the work of righteousness shall
be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for
ever. {18} And my people shall dwell in a
peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting
places;" God working in rest in His people.
Galatians 5:16-18 "This I say then, Walk in the Spirit,
and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these
are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that
ye would. {18} But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under
the law." Holy Ghost Spiritual walk leads the Christian to cleaness against the lust of flesh, and the Christian is

that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth
fornication sinneth against his own body. {19}
What? know ye not that your body is the temple
of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye
are not your own? {20} For ye are bought with a
price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit,
which are God's." The Holy Spirit lives within God's property the
Christian's body.
D) PRAY IN THE HOLY SPIRIT:
1 Thessalonians 1:5-6 "For our gospel came not unto you in word
only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in

sake. {6} And ye became followers of us, & of
the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy
of the Holy Ghost:"Gospel came in Spirit power
1 Thessalonians 5:17-20 "Pray without ceasing. {18} In every thing give thanks: for this is the

the Father seeketh such to worship him. {24} God
is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in
spirit and in truth." True worship of God is by the Spirit & truth
which is given to those that worship the Jewish Messiah Jesus whose name is

veil is upon their heart. {16} Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord,
the veil shall be taken away. {17} Now the Lord is that Spirit: and
where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
{18} But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the
Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even
as by the Spirit of the Lord." Jesus and the Holy Spirit
are Lord and God
1 Thessalonians 4:7-9 "For God hath not called us unto uncleanness,
but unto holiness. {8} He therefore that despiseth,

my works forty years." The Holy Spirit quotes your fathers tempted me
since He is a manifestation of the Triunity Godhead.
1 Peter 1:10-12 "Of which salvation the prophets have
inquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that
should come unto you: {11} Searching what, or what manner of
time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it
testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should
follow. {12} Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves,
but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto
you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent
down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into."
The Spirit of Jesus Christ is the Holy Spirit sent from God to inspire
prophesies of salvation by God's grace.
2 Peter 1:20-21 "Knowing this first, that
no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. {21} For the prophecy came not in old time by the will

walk of faith.
C) GRIEVE THE HOLY SPIRIT:
Ephesians 4:29-32 "Let no corrupt communication proceed out of
your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that
it may minister grace unto the hearers. {30} And grieve
not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of
redemption. {31} Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you,
with all malice: {32} And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving
one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you."
Holy Spirit of God can be grieved, who also seals you to the redemption day.
D) SORCERER AGAINST THE HOLY SPIRIT:
Acts 13:8-11 "But Elymas the
sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking
to turn away the deputy from the faith. {9} Then Saul, (who also
is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him,
{10} And said, O full of all subtlety and all mischief, thou
child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou
not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord? {11} And
now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt
be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there
fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went
about seeking some to lead him by the hand." Egypt sorcerer Exodus 7:11-13

GHOST:

manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the
blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. {32} And whosoever
speaketh a word against the Son of man, it
shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh
against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in
this world, neither in the world to come." The sin against God

why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to
keep back part of the price of the land? {4} Whiles it remained, was it not
thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine
own power? why hast thou conceived this
thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied
unto men, but unto God." The Holy Spirit can be lied to but a
great cost.
Acts 7:51-52
"Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart
and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did,

whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers:" Resist Holy Spirit
in sin.

and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not
perceive: {27} "For the heart of this people is waxed gross,
and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed;
lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears,
& understand with their heart, & should be converted,
and I should heal them." Jews without God's
faith.
See my paper: "Apostasy"

enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made
partakers of the Holy Ghost, {5} And have tasted the good word of God,
and the powers of the world to come, {6} If they shall fall away,
to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to
themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame."
Once the Holy Spirit departs the person is lost and can not return to God.
Hebrews 10:26-29 "For if we sin wilfully
after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, {27} But a
certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall
devour the adversaries. {28} He that despised Moses' law died without mercy
under two or three witnesses: {29} Of how much sorer punishment, suppose
ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the
Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith
he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the
Spirit of grace?" Sin willfully after knowledge
of truth, no more sacrifice for sins.

{15} And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
{16} Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall
