efforts, work, or righteousness. All
scriptures are from the King James’ version Bible.
INDUCTIVE
COMMENTS:
THEME: God is the Sovereign ruler of the universe, to do
whatever He will, to whomever He wishes, in any way He wants, and without any
input from man.
Romans 9:15-19 "For he saith to Moses, I will
have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have
compassion on whom I will have compassion. {16} So
then it is not of him that willeth, nor of
him that runneth, but of God that showeth mercy. {17} For the
scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I
raised thee up, that I might show my power in thee, and that my name
might be declared throughout all the earth. {18} Therefore hath he mercy on
whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.
{19} Thou wilt say then unto me, Why
doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will?"
PURPOSE:
God is
sovereign to save, whomsoever he wants to save, use any sinner as He wishes,
and whomsoever he wants to be lost is lost.
See Romans 9
Ephesians
1:9-11 "Having made known unto us the
mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath
purposed in himself: {10} That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things
in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even
in him: {11} In whom also we have obtained an inheritance,
being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh
all things after the counsel of his own will:"
KEY VERSE:
Romans
9:20-21 "O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to
him that formed it, Why hast thou made
me thus? {21} Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the
same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another
unto dishonour?"
WHO: God in Jesus
TO WHOM: Elected
Christians
WHAT: God alone receives all the glory for man’s salvation,
sanctification, & blessings
Ephesians 2:7 "That
in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness
toward us through Christ Jesus."
The elect will praise God forever
WHY: For God’s own
purpose and pleasure (His love and His glory)
Ephesians
1:5 "Having predestinated us unto the
adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good
pleasure of his will," Predestinated by God of His will
WAY: God’s predestination plan of salvation,
sanctification, perfection, & glorification
Romans 8:29-30 "For whom he did foreknow, he also did
predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he
might be the firstborn among many brethren. {30} Moreover whom he did
predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he
also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified."
God does it all without man’s efforts.
Foreknow->Predestinate->To Jesus
image->Called->Justified->Glorified
WHEREAS: Christians
should enjoy God’s love & live their life in praises and thanks
Romans 8:31 "What shall we then say to these things? If God be
for us, who can be against us?" God chooses who to save and no one can
succeed against God’s elect
WHERE: Heaven and earth
WHEN: Before the
foundation of the world and after the creation
Ephesians
1:4 "According
as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that
we should be holy and without blame before him in love:" Before
creation
WHILE: Mankind thinks they are in control of their salvation
by non existent free will
2 Peter 3:8-9 "But,
beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with
the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. {9} The
Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but
is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but
that all should come to repentance."
If God is not willing, who can stop God’s will? The text shows God to be patient.

I) GOD WILL RECEIVES ALL THE
GLORY:
1 Corinthians 1:29
"That no flesh should glory in his presence." God receives all glory
1 Corinthians 1:31
"That, according as it
is written, He that glorieth, let him glory
in the Lord." God has done it all for mankind so let’s glorify in Him
alone (2 Corinthians 10:17)
Philippians 2:10-11 "That at the name of Jesus every knee
should bow, of things in heaven, and things in
earth, and things under the earth; {11} And that every
tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of
God the Father." Jesus will be worshipped by every created being that
ever existed which will glorify the Father

II) BY NATURE MAN IS SINFUL – GOD FORESEE’S NO GOODNESS
IN MAN TO REWARD – MAN DESERVES ONLY HELL AS PUNISHMENT:
Mankind has no righteousness from birth to death for believers and
unbelievers.

God Really Want?" for

& Answers on Law, Faith, & Liberty" for more information on this subject.
These scriptures show man is only evil and can
not do good.
Man is born a
sinner and then will sin as his natural self and his evil will does. How can evil do not good? How can an omniscient God look down the
ages to see some one who will believe except He intervene with changing the
person by His grace?
Psalms 14:1-3 "To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The fool hath
said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt,
they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good {2} The LORD looked down from heaven upon the
children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and
seek God. {3} They are all gone aside, they
are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth
good, no, not one."
Sin & do no good
Psalms 53:1-3 "To the chief Musician upon Mahalath,
Maschil, A Psalm of David. The
fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt
are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none
that doeth good. {2} God looked down from heaven upon the children of
men, to see if there were any that did understand,
that did seek God. {3} Every
one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there
is none that doeth good, no, not one."
Ecclesiastes 7:20 "For there is not a just man upon
earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not." No man is just and does good while sins not.
Isaiah 53:6 "All we
like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his
own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all."
Mankind is evil and selfish
Isaiah 64:6-8
"But we are all as an unclean thing, and
all our righteousnesses are as
filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our
iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. {7} And there is none that calleth upon thy name, that stirreth
up himself to take hold of thee: for thou hast hid thy face from us, and hast
consumed us, because of our iniquities. {8} But now, O LORD, thou art
our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we
all are the work of thy hand." Any good in man is compared to mankind’s filth as we are all unclean.
Romans 3:10-18 "As it is written, There is none righteous, no,
not one: {11} There is none that understandeth,
there is none that seeketh after God.
{12} They are all gone out of the way, they are together
become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no,
not one. {13} Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit;
the poison of asps is under their lips: {14} Whose mouth is
full of cursing and bitterness: {15} Their feet are swift to
shed blood: {16} Destruction and misery are in their ways:
{17} And the way of peace have they not known: {18} There is no fear
of God before their eyes." No
one seeks God, but they go after their own righteousness without any good
Romans 7:18 "For I
know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth
no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform
that which is good I find not." No good
Ephesians
2:2-3 "Wherein in time past ye walked
according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the
power of the air, the spirit that now worketh
in the children of disobedience: {3} Among whom also we all had our
conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the
desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of
wrath, even as others." Mankind is by nature sons of wrath with flesh
lusts
The men who can
not follow God are doing their natural evil, self-centered, and fleshly acts
which is because of their being born with sin and are sinners. They can not do good
because the scriptures show they are evil.
John 8:44-47 "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will
do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the
truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh
of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. {45} And because I tell you the truth, ye
believe me not. {46} Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth,
why do ye not believe me? {47} He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not,
because ye are not of God."
The order
to follow God is you can hear God's words and believe on Jesus.
This applies to making a choice for good for God or having faith
which is from God to man just as grace is from God to man.
2 Corinthians 4:3-4 "But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that
are lost: {4} In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of
them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ,
who is the image of God, should shine unto them."
Scriptures show man's total
depravity. Grace is one way from God
towards man. We can only receive the
gift when God send it.
Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace
are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the
gift of God: {9} Not of works, lest any man should
boast."
See my paper: "Born with
Sin/Father is the Devil (Prior to Re-birth)" for more information on this subject.
III) FOUR
TYPES OF PEOPLE THAT LOOK LIKE CHRISTIANS:
Sowing of the seed parable in
Matthew 13:18-23, Mark 4:3-20,
and Luke 8:5-15
Jesus is sower
and the seed is the Word of Kingdom of God
Wayside->Understand
not->Devil takes the Word away->
Rocks->Receives Word with
joy->Believes for while->No roots->Persecution->Offended
Thorns->Cares of
world/riches->Choke the Word->
Good ground->Hears
Word->Understands->Bear fruit->100/60/30 fold
If the person is a Christian,
then he will love God & man. Faith
works will follow. If they do not show
these signs, it proves that they are not of the elect Christians.
See my paper: "Preservation
& Perseverance of the Elect" for more information on this subject.
IV) GOD SAVED
THE CHRISTIAN BEFORE THE EARTH EXISTS:
Matthew 25:34
"Then shall the King
say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the
kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:" God
predestinated these to be in His kingdom before the foundation of the world
Romans 9:11-13 "(For the
children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil,
that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of
works, but of him that calleth;) {12} It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.
{13} As it is written, Jacob have I
loved, but Esau have I hated." God elected before birth-Malachi
1:2
Ephesians 1:4-5
"According as he
hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we
should be holy and without blame before him in love: {5} Having
predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according
to the good pleasure of his will," Chosen before the world’s
foundation & predestinated by God
Romans 8:28-31
"And we know that
all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are
the called according to his purpose. {29} For
whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to
the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
{30} Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom
he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them
he also glorified. {31} What shall we then say to
these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?"
Foreknow->Predestinate->To Jesus
image->Called->Justified->Glorified
See my paper: "True Gospel
for Salvation by the Imputed Righteousness of Jesus" for more information on this subject.
V) WHAT
ABOUT THE WORKS OF THE CHRISTIAN?:
Ephesians
2:10 "For we are his workmanship, created
in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we
should walk in them." God ordains our works
2 Timothy 3:17
"That the man of
God may be perfect, thoroughly
furnished unto all good works."
God makes you perfect (mature) with having many good works
Hebrews 13:21 "Make
you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which
is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus
Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen." God makes you perfect (mature) in ever good
work to do his will
See my paper: "Christian
Growth" for more
information on this subject.
VI) WHAT
ABOUT THE CHRISTIAN’S FAITH?:
The gospel of Christ is salvation to those that have faith, from
God, to believe that Jesus righteousness is imputed to the Christian,
and the Christian’s sins are imputed to Christ. The Christian never has any righteousness
of his own. The Christian is
saved by God’s grace (God’s unmerited flavor to man) with no
input from man.
Romans 12:3, 6 "For I
say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to
think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think
soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
{6} Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us,
whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion
of faith;" God is the source of the Christian’s faith
Galatians 2:20
"I am crucified with
Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth
in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the
Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me." The Christian’s
life is lived by Jesus faith
2 Thessalonians 3:2
"And that we may be
delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not
faith." God does not give faith
to the wicked
See my paper: "Faith" for more information on this subject.
See my papers:
"Imputed/Reckoned/Counted Righteousness of Jesus" for more information on this subject.
VII) WHAT
ABOUT THE CHRISTIAN’S GRACE?:
Ephesians 2:8-9
"For by grace are
ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the
gift of God: {9} Not of works, lest any man should boast." Just receive God’s grace or unmerited flavor
to you. The non-believer receives just
God’s loving kindness.
See my
paper: "Grace" for more information on this subject.
VIII) WHAT
IS THE CHRISTIAN TO DO? CENTER HIS LIFE
ON JESUS:
John 15:4-5
"Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear
fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine;
no more can ye, except ye abide in me. {5} I am the vine, ye are the
branches: He that abideth in me, and I
in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit:
for without me ye can do nothing."
In Jesus->Much fruit->Without Jesus->Can
do nothing
Matthew
6:31-33
"Therefore take no
thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What
shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
{32} (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:)
for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need
of all these things. {33} But seek ye
first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these
things shall be added unto you."
Seek Jesus first (only). Focus on
Jesus to know Him.
See my
paper: "Man's Greatest Need - Relationship
with God" for
more information on this subject.
IX) WHAT
ABOUT THE CHRISTIAN’S SIN? CONFESS & STUDY SCRIPTURE:
Jesus died on the cross 2,000
years ago for the Christian’s sins.
Every sin the Christian commits today has already been paid for by
Christ’s once and for all punishment.
Concentration on learning
about and allowing Jesus to change you (God centered) not on oneself on how to
stop sinning and trying to live the Christian life (self centered). When you sin’s just humble yourself before
God asking for forgives & go on focusing on Jesus.
John
17:16-17 "They
are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. {17} Sanctify them through thy truth: thy
word is truth." The Christian
is set apart for God’s purpose
1 John 1:9
"If we confess our
sins, he is faithful and just to
forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Man confesses sin->God forgives sin & cleanses us
See my paper:
"Forgiveness of Sins" for more information on this subject.
See my paper:
"Justification" for
more information on this subject.
HOW TO BE SAVED:
John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten
Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have
everlasting life."
Romans 3:23-25 "For all
have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; {24} Being justified freely
by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: {25}
Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in
his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are
past, through the forbearance of God;"
Romans 3:27-28 "Where is
boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. {28} Therefore we
conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law."
Romans 10:9-10 "That if
thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe
in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be
saved. {10} For with the heart man
believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made
unto salvation."
Romans 10:13
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be
saved."
Man deserves death and punishment, separation from God, for sin. God's love
and grace has saved some and all other's will be lost.
Those that are the saved, will repent (change) of their sins and will call
upon the Lord. They will pray to Jesus
something like this: Father, I know I am
a sinner. I asked for your forgiveness
and help me to repent. Come in to my
life and be my Lord. Help me to speak to
others about your paying for my sins on the cross. In Jesus name I ask this. Amen.
If you prayed that pray and trusting in the promises of God's word, the
Bible, you are one of the called, elected, and chosen.
