MAN'S GREATEST NEED - RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD
By Dennis Schmidt 3/2007
RETURN TO THE: BIBLE PAPERS HOME PAGE
This paper discusses the Bible's answers to questions about God and His
relationships to people. All
scriptures are from the King James' version Bible.
INDUCTIVE COMMENTS:
THEME:
What is man's greatest need?: God created man to have fellowship with
Him. If man does not have that fellowship, he does not meet his reason for
being created. Man will have an abundant life when he worships God in spirit
and in truth. This will occurs when man enjoys God's love, mercy, and grace in
an everlasting relationship with his heavenly Father.
Man
is the only creature of God to be given a spiritual and moral nature made in
God's own image. Animals can only think, but man can think and reason. We have
self awareness & can have fellowship with God and enjoy His love forever.
Matthew
6:33 "But
seek ye first the kingdom
of God, and his
righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."
Matthew 22:37-40 "Jesus
said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart,
and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
{38} This is the first and great commandment.
{39} And the second <is> like unto it, Thou
shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. {40} On these two commandments hang all the law and the
prophets."
