FEASTS OF THE LORD

This paper discusses the Lord's Feasts. God's people were told to keep the feasts forever. Jesus observed all these feasts. The denominational churches only observe one of God's feasts Pentecost. Instead, the churches have incorporated many man made feasts such as Easter, Halloween, and Christmas, etc which are directly out of paganism. During the Millennium all people will observe the feast Zech 14:16. All scriptures are from the King James' version Bible.

NEW DISPENSATION STARTING:

Luke 21:24 "And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled." In 1967 Jerusalem was no longer under gentile control.

A new era began. Many Hebrew Christian ministries were established.

The Bible is a Jewish book written by Jewish authors about Jewish historical events and a Jewish Messiah in a Jewish land. The Feasts are Jewish events from a Jewish calendar. Zechariah 14:16 tells us that the gentles will be celebrating the Feast of Tabernacles with the Jews in the Millennial dispensation.

GENTILES & JEWS KEEPING THE FEASTS:

Zechariah 14:16 "And it shall come to pass, <that> every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles." A Christian should understand God's Feasts and what is the shadow of things to come. Praise Jesus

PURPOSE: IN CONCLUSION:

A) CHRISTIANS ARE NOT UNDER LAWS OR RULES, BUT PRINCIPLES:

Colossians 2:16-17 "Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath <days>: {17} Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body <is> of Christ." Learn God's principles of what the Feasts teach. Gentiles Christians have been taught, in there churches, from a gentile perspective about the Bible. Anytime Jewish Feast days are mention it's as being put under the law. As they attend church each Sunday. In the same way, they participate in feasts.

B) GOD'S RESPONSE TO JEWS/CHRISTIANS IN SIN: OUR RELIGIOUS OBSERVATION INSTEAD OF FAITH & A RELATIONSHIP FROM THE HEART:

Isaiah 1:10-18 "Hear the word of the LORD, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah. {11} To what purpose <is> the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats. {12} When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts? {13} Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; <it is> iniquity, even the solemn meeting. {14} Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear <them>. {15} And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood. {16} Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; {17} Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow. {18} Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool."

SALVATION IS OF THE JEWS: THROUGH JEWISH: PROPHECIES, MESSIAH, CUSTOMS AND UNDERSTANDINGS OF THE OLD AS WELL AS THE NEW TESTAMENT.

John 4:20-23 "Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship. {21} Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. {22} Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. {23} But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him."

Deuteronomy 16:1-3 "Observe the month of Abib, and keep the passover unto the LORD thy God: for in the month of Abib the LORD thy God brought thee forth out of Egypt by night. {2} Thou shalt therefore sacrifice the passover unto the LORD thy God, of the flock and the herd, in the place which the LORD shall choose to place his name there. {3} Thou shalt eat no leavened bread with it; seven days shalt thou eat unleavened bread therewith, <even> the bread of affliction: for thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt in haste: that thou mayest remember the day when thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt all the days of thy life."

Exodus 12:5, 11-14 "Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take <it> out from the sheep, or from the goats: {11} And thus shall ye eat it; <with> your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it <is> the LORD'S passover. {12} For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I <am> the LORD. {13} And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye <are>: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy <you>, when I smite the land of Egypt. {14} And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever."

Leviticus 23:5 "In the fourteenth <day> of the first month at even <is> the Lord's passover."

UNLEAVENED BREAD: (7 days duration). 15th day of Nisan March/April. First day was a Sabbath next day was Firstfruit feast. Jesus could of died on Passover with this Sabbath following & arose Firstfruit.

Exodus 13:7 "Unleavened bread shall be eaten seven days; and there shall no leavened bread be seen with thee, neither shall there be leaven seen with thee in all thy quarters."

Leviticus 23:6-8 "And on the fifteenth day of the same month <is> the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread. {7} In the first day ye shall have an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. {8} But ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD seven days: in the seventh day <is> an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work <therein>."

Deuteronomy 16:4-8 "And there shall be no leavened bread seen with thee in all thy coast seven days; neither shall there <any thing> of the flesh, which thou sacrificedst the first day at even, remain all night until the morning. {5} Thou mayest not sacrifice the passover within any of thy gates, which the LORD thy God giveth thee: {6} But at the place which the LORD thy God shall choose to place his name in, there thou shalt sacrifice the passover at even, at the going down of the sun, at the season that thou camest forth out of Egypt. {7} And thou shalt roast and eat <it> in the place which the LORD thy God shall choose: and thou shalt turn in the morning, and go unto thy tents. {8} Six days thou shalt eat unleavened bread: and on the seventh day <shall be> a solemn assembly to the LORD thy God: thou shalt do no work <therein>."

Leviticus 23:10,14 "Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest {14} And ye shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, nor green ears, until the selfsame day that ye have brought an offering unto your God: <it shall be> a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings."

How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? {3} Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? {4} Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. {5} For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also <in the likeness> of <his> resurrection:"

I) SHOFAR (TRUMPET) BLOWING BEFORE MOST FEASTS:

Psalms 81:3-4 "Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day. {4} For this <was> a statute for Israel, <and> a law of the God of Jacob." The trumpet announced the feast. Each thirty month was a new moon a feast day.

II) ALL ISRAEL TO GO TO JERUSALEM: God required all males to come to Jerusalem, with a gift, during the three major feasts.

Leviticus 25:8,10,28 "And thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven sabbaths of years shall be unto thee forty and nine years. {10} And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout <all> the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubilee unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family. {28} But if he be not able to restore <it> to him, then that which is sold shall remain in the hand of him that hath bought it until the year of jubilee: and in the jubilee it shall go out, and he shall return unto his possession." We have God's rest from our efforts.

A) HOW CHRISTIANS FULFILL YEAR OF JUBILEE TYPE: ABIDE IN JESUS:

John 15:5 "I am the vine, ye <are> the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing."

Matthew 11:29-30 "Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. {30} For my yoke <is> easy, and my burden is light."

from a gentile perspective about the Bible. Anytime Jewish Feast days are mention it's as being put under the law. As they attend church each Sunday. In the same way, they participate in feasts.

A Christian should understand God's Feasts and what is the shadow of things to come. Praise Jesus
