INDUCTIVE BIBLE TOPIC STUDY
DANIEL'S PROPHECY OF THE 70 WEEKS
By Dennis Schmidt 1/2007
RETURN
TO THE: BIBLE PAPERS HOME PAGE
This
paper discusses Daniel's prophecy of the 70 weeks. The scripture is found in the book of Daniel. The paper shows that an individual person
"the antichrist", will come on the seen, and he will exist in the end
days (2000 years + after Christ's death). The paper also discusses the Jewish land, Israel's connection with this event and the
blessings to God's chosen people the Jews.
Jews were put aside until all the Gentiles come in prior to the coming
of the antichrist. All scriptures are
from the King James' version Bible.
INDUCTIVE COMMENTS:
THEME: Prophecy
of Jesus death ~28 AD, the temple destruction at 70 AD, then a large pause from
70 AD of 2000 + years to the seventh week of 7 years of End Times Events, Tribulation
period, and the arrival of the antichrist in the last times.
PURPOSE: Prophecy of Jesus death, revelation of when Jesus coming (which
occurred about 750 year prior), and the antichrist with his destruction.
KEY VERSE:
Daniel 9:24-27 "Seventy weeks are determined
upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression,
and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity,
and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision
and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. {25} Know therefore and
understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to
build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore
and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall,
even in troublous times. {26} And after threescore and two weeks shall
Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of
the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the
end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war
desolations are determined. {27} And he shall confirm the
covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall
cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading
of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and
that determined shall be poured upon the desolate."
WHO:
God written mostly by Bible authors Daniel, Zechariah, Matthew, Luke, John, and
Paul
TO WHOM: Elected Jews and Christians
WHAT: Bold and = pauses, first pause
from Jesus death ~28 AD to 70 AD with the temple destruction then a large pause
from 70 AD of 2000 + years to the seventh week of 7 years of Tribulation period
at the End Times Events of antichrist in the last times.
Daniel 9:24-27 "Seventy weeks are determined

and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity,
and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision

WHY:
Jesus the Messiah will die for mankind’s sins
Daniel 9:25-26"even in troublous times. {26}
And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah
be cut off, but not for himself:" 434 years after the first 49
years it took to rebuild the city or 483 years total.
Matthew 21:4-5, 9-11 "All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was
spoken by the prophet, saying, {5} Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek,
and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass. {9} And the multitudes that went before, and that
followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the son of David: Blessed is
he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.
{10} And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who
is this? {11} And the multitude said, This
is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee."
Romans 11:25-27 "For I would not, brethren, that ye
should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own
conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel {Temporary set
aside}, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come
in {Then Israel will be restored}. {26} And so
all Israel shall be saved {Daniel 9:24 promise to Israel}: as it is written, There shall come out
of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away
ungodliness from Jacob: {27} For this <is> my covenant unto them,
when I shall take away their sins" See Jeremiah 31:34 above.
WAY: Jesus death and resurrection will complete God’s plan of
reconciliation for mans sins and transgression and bring an everlasting
righteousness to man through faith imputation by Jesus.
Daniel 9:24 "to finish the transgression,
and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity,
and to bring in everlasting righteousness," Jesus death ended
sin, made reconciliation & imputed God's righteousness to those who
believe.
Zechariah 12:9-10 "And it shall come to pass in that
day, <that> I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. {At Jesus return.}
{10} And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants
of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace {God gives them un-merited
flavor.} and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have
pierced {Jesus cross marks}, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for <his> only <son>, and shall be in
bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for <his>
firstborn." Jesus will save all the Jewish people left in Jerusalem.
WHEREAS: The antichrist will destroy the temple and the
city of Jerusalem.
Daniel 9:26 "shall destroy the city and the sanctuary;"
The
Jews never destroyed the temple or city. In 70 AD the Romans destroyed both the
temple and city Jerusalem. A time gap of ~40 years occurs between Jesus death &
70 AD.
Luke 21:20 -24 "And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the
desolation thereof is nigh.
{21} Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the
mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and
let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.
{22} For these be the days of vengeance,
that all things which are written may be fulfilled. {23} But woe unto
them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land,
and wrath upon this people. {24} And they
shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into
all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be
fulfilled."
WHERE: In Jerusalem , Israel
Zechariah 9:9 "Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee:
he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding
upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass."
Zechariah 12:9-10 "And it shall come to pass in that
day, <that> I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. {At Jesus return.}
{10} And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants
of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace {God gives them un-merited
flavor.} and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced
{Jesus cross marks}, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth
for <his> only <son>, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one
that is in bitterness for <his> firstborn." Jesus will save all the
Jewish people left in Jerusalem.
Zechariah 13:1 "In that day there shall be a
fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness."
WHEN: 434 years after the
first 49 years it took to rebuild the city or 483 years total. Jesus dies for the sins of His people.
Daniel 9:25 "even in
troublous times.
{26} And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah
be cut off, but not for himself:"
WHILE: God
has an everlasting covenant with the Jewish people even as the antichrist stops
the sacrifices in the temple.
Genesis 17:7 "And I will establish my covenant between me and
thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting
covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee."
Jesus never confirmed a covenant for just 1 week since His are all everlasting
covenants to His people the Jews.
Psalms 105:8-9 "He hath remembered his covenant
for ever, the word <which> he commanded to a thousand generations.
{9} Which <covenant> he made with Abraham,
and his oath unto Isaac;"
Daniel 9:27 "and in the midst of the week he
shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease,"

= pauses, first pause from Jesus death ~28 AD to 70 AD with the temple
destruction then a large pause from 70 AD of 2000 + years to the seventh week
of 7 years of Tribulation period at the End Times Events of antichrist in the
last times.
II)
SEVENTY WEEKS:
Daniel 9:24 "Seventy weeks"
Weeks
of years equals 7 days and 70 weeks equals 70 X 7 equals 490 days. Each day is weeks of years equal to
490 years since Judaism has weeks of days and weeks of years. The 70 weeks are
also divided into 7 weeks, 69 weeks, and 1 week. Two pauses occurs
after the 69 weeks of ~40 years & an undisclosed time period before the
last week occurs.
Ezekiel 4:6 "And when thou hast accomplished them, lie again on
thy right side, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each
day for a year."
Daniel 9:24 continued "are determined upon thy
people"
III)
JEWISH PEOPLE:
See
my paper: "Israel &
Jewish People in God's Plan" for more information on this subject.
The 70
weeks prophecy is directed towards the Jewish people, Jewish land Israel, and Jewish city Jerusalem. Likewise the promises are also to the
Jewish people.
Jeremiah 31:31-37 "Behold, the days come, saith the
LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with
the house of Judah: {32} Not according to the covenant {Old
Covenant} that I made with their fathers in the day <that> I took them
by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they
brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD: {33} But this
<shall be> the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel;
After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts,
and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they
shall be my people. {34} And they shall teach no
more every man his neighbour, and every man his
brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of
them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their
iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. {What Jesus has done for
Jewish believers.} {35} Thus saith the LORD {God's
promise to never reject Israel.}, which giveth the
sun for a light by day, <and> the ordinances of the moon and of the stars
for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the
waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts <is> his name: {36} If those
ordinances depart from before me, saith the LORD, <then> the seed
of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever. {37} Thus
saith the LORD; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the
earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all
that they have done, saith the LORD" These ordinances are still true.
Therefore, Jewish people are still God's people today.
John 4:22 "Ye worship ye
know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews."
Jesus death & resurrection in the New Testament is made to Israel. Gentiles are later grafted in.
Romans 11:1-2, 11, 18 "I say then, Hath God cast
away his people? God forbid {No}. For I
{Paul is writing that he is part of the chosen people.} also am an Israelite,
of the seed of Abraham, <of> the tribe of Benjamin. {2} God
hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God
against Israel, saying, {11} I say then, Have they
stumbled that they should fall? God forbid {No}: but <rather>
through their fall salvation <is come> unto the Gentiles, {Israel is put aside temporary for the gentiles
to come in.} for to provoke them to jealousy. {18} Boast not against the
branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not
the root, but the root thee." Israel is the root.
Daniel 9:24 continued "and upon thy holy city,"
IV)
JERUSALEM:
At the
time of the prophecy, the city Jerusalem and the temple were in ruins. The
prophecy states that they will be rebuilt and later destroyed again. After an
interlude the city and temple will again be rebuilt. The blood sacrifice will
take place and a person, the antichrist, will go into the temple and stop the
sacrifices. He will commit abominations and desolate the temple.
Daniel 9:24 continued "to finish the transgression,
and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity,
and to bring in everlasting righteousness," Jesus death ended
sin, made reconciliation & imputed God's righteousness to those who
believe.

V)
PROMISES ABOUT JESUS DEATH & RESURRECTION MADE FIRST TO ISRAEL:
This
prophecy to Israel will be fulfilled at the close of the
70th week, a time of great blessing for Israel is prophesied. The church will already be
raptured when this occurs.
Zechariah 9:9 "Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee:
he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding
upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass."

Zechariah 12:9-10 "And it shall come to pass in that
day, <that> I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. {At Jesus return.}
Zechariah 13:1 "In that day there shall be a
fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness."
{9} And the multitudes that went before, and that

conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel {Temporary set
aside}, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come
in {Then Israel will be restored}. {26} And so
all Israel shall be saved {Daniel 9:24 promise to Israel}: as it is written, There shall come out
of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away
ungodliness from Jacob: {27} For this <is> my covenant unto them,
when I shall take away their sins" See Jeremiah 31:34 above.
Daniel 9:24 continued "and to seal up the vision and
prophecy,"
Daniel 12:8-9 "And I heard, but I understood
not: then said I, O my Lord, what <shall be> the end of these
<things>? {9} And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for
the words <are> closed up and sealed till the time of the end."
VI)
PROPHETS SEARCHED TO UNDERSTAND THEIR PROPHECIES BUT COULD NOT:
1 Peter 1:11 "Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit
of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the
sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow."
Daniel 9:24 continued "and to anoint the most Holy.
{25} Know therefore and understand, <that> from the going forth of
the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem"
See
my paper: "Entry Into the Holy of Holies" for more information on this subject.
VII)
COMMANDMENT TO RESTORE AND BUILD JERUSALEM:
There
were three decrees given for the Jewish people to return to Judah with the first in 538 BC under Zerubbabel (Joshua as priest) to rebuild the temple (see Ezra 1-6). The second in 458 BC under Ezra to
complete the rebuilding of the temple & restore the Jewish faith (see Ezra 7-10). The third return in 445 BC under
Nehemiah to rebuild the wall of Jerusalem and the city (see Nehemish
1-6) which starts Daniel's 9:24-27 seventy weeks prophecy. The Jewish
community in Jerusalem is discussed in Nehemiah 7-13. This command occurred about 445 BC when Artaxerxes sent out the degree. The walls took a short
period of time to complete. It took most of the 49 years to rebuilt
the entire city. This is not the future Millennial
temple which is discussed in Ezekial 41-46.
Nehemiah 2:8 "And a letter unto Asaph
the keeper of the king's forest, that he may give me timber to make beams
for the gates of the palace which <appertained> to the house, and for the
wall of the city, and for the house that I shall enter into. And the king
granted me, according to the good hand of my God upon me."
Daniel 9:25 continued "unto the Messiah the Prince"
VII)
MESSIAH THE PRINCE:

Testament" for more information on this subject.
See
my paper: "Jesus Life,
Events, & Identity" for more information on this subject.

my paper: "Between Jesus
Death & Resurrection What Did He Accomplish?" for more information on this subject.
Revelation 1:5 "And from Jesus Christ,
<who is> the faithful witness, <and> the first begotten of the
dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto
him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood," Messiah Jesus,
about 28 AD, when He died on the cross for our sins.
Daniel 9:25 continued "<shall be> seven weeks,
and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and
the wall," 483 years from the kings decree in 445 BC to ~ 28 AD
VIII)
CITY REBUILT WITH ITS WALLS RESTORED:
Nehemiah 2:5-9 "And I said unto the king, If
it please the king, and if thy servant have found favour
in thy sight, that thou wouldest send me unto
Judah, unto the city of my fathers' sepulchres, that
I may build it. {6} And the king said unto
me, (the queen also sitting by him,) For how long shall thy journey be? and when wilt thou return? So it pleased the king to send
me; and I set him a time. {7} Moreover I said unto the king, If it
please the king, let letters be given me to the governors beyond the river,
that they may convey me over till I come into Judah; {8} And a letter
unto Asaph the keeper of the king's forest, that he
may give me timber to make beams for the gates of the palace which appertained
to the house, and for the wall of the city, and for the house
that I shall enter into. And the king granted me, according to the
good hand of my God upon me. {9} Then I came to the governors beyond the
river, and gave them the king's letters. Now the king had sent
captains of the army and horsemen with me." King issues the decree in
~445 BC
Daniel 9:25 continued "even in troublous times.
{26} And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah
be cut off, but not for himself:" 434 years after the first 49
years it took to rebuild the city or 483 years total.
IX)
MESSIAH BE CUT OFF BUT NOT FOR HIMSELF-JESUS DIED
FOR BELIEVER'S:
Matthew 16:21 "From that time forth began Jesus
to show unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders
and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised
again the third day."

John 3:16 "For God so
loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
Daniel 9:26 continued "and the people
of the prince that shall come"
These
are not the people of Jesus the prince (Jews), but a different prince who is
from the Roman empire. The prince that shall come in 9:27 is the antichrist from the revived Roman Empire. The "and" is the first pause
after 69 weeks of about 40 years when the Romans destroyed the city of
Jerusalem and the temple.
X)
ROMAN EMPIRE IN 70 AD DESTROYED JERUSALEM & TEMPLE:
Daniel 9:26 continued "shall destroy the city and
the sanctuary;"
The
Jews never destroyed the temple or city.
{24} And they
shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into
all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be
fulfilled."
Daniel 9:26 continued "and the end thereof <shall
be> with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are
determined."
The
Romans killed about a million Jews and scattered the Jewish nation for about
1900 years until Israel was restored in 1948.
See
my paper: "Restoration of the
Kingdom of God to Israel" for more information on this subject.
Daniel 9:27 "And he shall confirm the
covenant with many for one week:"
XI)
HE: THE ANTICHRIST - A MAN OF THE LATTER DAYS - END
TIMES:
A
second time gap exists here between the 69th AND 70th Week. The gaps are both
between Jesus' death of ~28 AD & 70 AD when the Romans destroyed the temple
and city. It is also between Jesus' death and 2000 + years that the next temple
is built. Then the antichrist, of the revived Roman Empire, shall confirm the covenant with Israel of sacrifices in the temple & brake it three & half years later.
2 Thessalonians 2:2-4 "That ye be not soon shaken in mind,
or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as
that the day of Christ is at hand. {3} Let no man deceive you by any means: for
<that day shall not come>, except there come a falling away first, and that
man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; {4} Who opposeth and exalteth himself
above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that
he is God."
Who is
this man? He will exist. If he existed already then why has Jesus not returned
as the scriptures plainly states? He is spoken of as a real individual person
and not an idea.
Daniel 7:21-22 "I beheld, and the same horn made
war with the saints, and prevailed against them; {22} Until the
Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most
High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom."
2 Thessalonians 2:6-9 "And now ye know what withholdeth that he {antichrist} might be revealed
in his time. {7} For the mystery of iniquity doth
already work {antichrist spirit}: only he {Church} who now letteth <will let>, until he {Church raptured} be taken out of the way. {8} And then shall
that Wicked be revealed, {antichrist} whom the Lord shall consume with the
spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: {9}
<Even him> {antichrist}, whose coming is after the working of Satan
with all power and signs and lying wonders," He will do signs &
wonders. The mystery of iniquity exists even now, but this is not the antichrist.
Paul says that he will come. It is an antichrist spirit. John says the same
thing that there is an antichrist person also.
1 John 2:18 "Little children, it is the last
time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are
there many {Spirit} antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last
time."
1 John 4:3 "And every spirit that confesseth
not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that
<spirit> of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come;
and even now already is it in the world." Spirit, not "the man"
Revelation 13:1 "And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast
rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon
his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy."
Beast equals antichrist. He comes from the sea of people. He controls the ten
member restored Roman
Empire.
Revelation 13:3-4 "And I saw one of his heads as it
were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world
wondered after the beast {the man antichrist}. {4} And
they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they
worshipped the beast, saying, Who <is> like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?" Him = the
beast = the antichrist man.
Revelation 13:8 "And all that dwell upon the
earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of
the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world." Worship the antichrist.
Revelation 13:15-18 "And he had power to give life unto
the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and
cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be
killed. {16} And {antichrist} he causeth all,
both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their
right hand, or in their foreheads: {17} And that no man might buy or sell, save
he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. {18}
Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the
beast: {antichrist} for it is the number of a man {antichrist =
man}; and his number <is> Six hundred threescore <and> six."
John
says the antichrist is an individual & the number of his name is 666. Many
people have found objects with that number. They are not a man. They could be
spirits of antichrist. Not the antichrist himself.

MANY: JEWISH PEOPLE: 1 WEEK:

Jewish People in God's Plan" for more information on this subject.
Daniel 9:27 continued "and in the midst of the week he
shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease,"
XIII)
BLOOD SACRIFICES ARE FOR ISRAEL ONLY:
Jesus
never stopped the sacrifice & oblation for Israel. They continued until the Romans
destroyed the temple in 70 AD. When Paul reports to the elders his success of
gentile conversions, they report to him the success of Jewish believer's
zealous for the law:

Under Law, but Jews Can Culturally Keep God's Commandments" for more information on this subject.

Zechariah 14:16 "And it shall come to pass,
<that> every one that is left of all the nations which came against
Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the
LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles." Sacrifice
@ Feast of Tabernacle
Acts 21:20-26 "And when they heard <it>,
they glorified the Lord, and said unto him, Thou seest,
brother, how many thousands of Jews there are which believe; and they
are all zealous of the law: {21} And they are informed of thee, that
thou teachest all the Jews which are among the
Gentiles to forsake Moses, saying that they ought not to circumcise
<their> children, neither to walk after the customs. {22} What is it therefore? the multitude
must needs come together: for they will hear that thou art come. {23} Do
therefore this that we say to thee: We have four men which have a vow on
them; {24} Them take, and purify thyself with them {PAUL/LAW}, and be
at charges with them, that they may shave <their> heads: and
all may know that those things, whereof they were informed concerning thee, are
nothing; but <that> thou thyself also walkest
orderly, and keepest the law. {25} As
touching the Gentiles which believe, we have written <and> concluded
that they observe no such thing, save only that they keep themselves
from <things> offered to idols, and from blood, and from
strangled, and from fornication. {26} Then Paul took the men,
and the next day purifying himself with them
entered into the temple, to signify the accomplishment of the days of
purification, until that an offering should be offered for every one of
them." During the millennium sacrifices will be done again.
Daniel 9:27 continued "and for the overspreading of abominations
he shall make <it> desolate, even until the consummation,
& that determined shall be poured upon the desolate."
XIV)
ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION:
See
my paper: "Judgments of
Believers and Unbelievers" for more information on this subject.
Daniel 11:31 "And arms shall stand on his part,
and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away
the daily <sacrifice>, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate."
Daniel 12:11 "And from the time <that>
the daily <sacrifice> shall be taken away, and the abomination
that maketh desolate set up, <there shall
be> a thousand two hundred and ninety days."
Matthew 24:14-15 "And this gospel of the kingdom
shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto
all nations; and then shall the end come. {15} When ye therefore
shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet,
stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let
him understand:)" Jesus said that Daniel 9:27 - Abomination he, antichrist, shall make
it desolate will occur at the end days. Hence, a 69-70 gap
exists.
