JESUS TWO COMINGS AS KING

This paper discusses Jesus two comings, first as suffering Messiah - claimed
as the king of Jews and second as King of kings of Israel
and the earth. All scriptures are
from the King James' version Bible.
INDUCTIVE COMMENTS:
THEME: Isaiah 9:6-7
shows God's son, Jesus, who is the Father and Counselor.
Isaiah 9:6-7 "For unto us a
child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be
upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The
everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. {7} Of
the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the
throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to
establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever.
The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this." Jesus/Son is the child
born.
Ephesians 1:20-22 "Which he
wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his
own right hand in the heavenly places, {21} Far above all principality,
and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is
named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: {22} And hath
put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all
things to the church," Jesus is King/ruler over His Church.
1 Timothy 6:15
"Which in his times he shall show, who is the blessed and only
Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;"
PURPOSE: Jesus
is King of kings and Lord of Lords over the earth.
Revelation 11:15
"And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven,
saying, The kingdoms of this world are
become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall
reign for ever and ever."
Revelation 17:14
"These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them:
for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are
with him are called, and chosen, and faithful."
Revelation 19:15-16 "And
out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he
should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and
he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath
of Almighty God. {16} And he hath on his vesture and
on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS."
Jesus is King of kings and Lord of
Lords over the earth.
Revelation 20:6 "Blessed
and holy <is> he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the
second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and
shall reign with him a thousand years." Christians will rule with
Jesus for 1,000 years.

WHAT:
God is and always has been the king or ruler over the entire earth.
Daniel 4:25 "That they
shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of
the field, and they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and they shall
wet thee with the dew of heaven, and seven times shall pass over thee, till
thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of
men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will."
Nebuchadnezzar experience from God.
Daniel 4:35
"And all the inhabitants of the earth <are> reputed as nothing:
and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and
<among> the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his
hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?" God
has complete rule.
1 Samuel 8:6-7 "But the
thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a king to judge us.
And Samuel prayed unto the LORD. {7} And the LORD said unto Samuel,
Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they
have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should
not reign over them." Man has rejected God’s rule in all
generations.
WHY:
God has made Jesus to be king over the earth.
Matthew 2:2 "Saying, Where
is he that is born King of the Jews? for we
have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him."The
Wise men saw the signs, found & worshipped Jesus the King.
Luke 1:31-33 "And, behold,
thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his
name JESUS. {32} He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the
Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father
David: {33} And he shall reign over the house
of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end." Jesus
would rule earth at His second coming.
John 1:49
"Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou
art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel."
At the start of Jesus ministry His disciple response to Jesus words.
Daniel 9:25-67 "Know
therefore and understand, <that> from the going forth of the
commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem
unto the Messiah the Prince <shall be> seven weeks, and threescore
and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in
troublous times." 69 weeks of years or 483 years after return.
Zechariah 9:9 "Rejoice
greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout,
O daughter of Jerusalem:
behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he <is> just, and having
salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of
an ass." Prophecy of future king of Israel:
Jesus is the King of Israel who
rode colt.
Matthew 21:5 "Tell ye the
daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee,
meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass."
The people proclaimed Jesus as king of Israel.
John 12:12-15 "On the next
day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was
coming to Jerusalem, {13} Took branches of palm trees, and went
forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed <is> the King of
Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord. {14} And Jesus, when he had
found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written, {15} Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an
ass's colt." This occurred about 33AD
WAY:
God has stated in the Garden
of Even and other prophecies that Jesus is the king.
Psalms 2:6-7 "Yet have I
set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. {7} I will declare the decree: the
LORD hath said unto me, Thou <art> my Son; this day have I
begotten thee." Begotten=human birth
Psalms 89:27 "Also I
will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth."
Jesus is God's first born real Son.
Psalms 110:1-2 "A Psalm of
David. The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I
make thine enemies thy footstool.
Psalms 45:6 "Thy throne,
O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre
of thy kingdom is a right sceptre." The
Father says this of the Son
Genesis 49:10 "The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver
from between his feet, until Shiloh
come; and unto him <shall> the gathering of the people <be>."
Shiloh is a Messianic title. The king is to be from the
Jewish tribe of Judah.
Messiah must come before Temple
records are destroyed to verify tribe Judah
WHEREAS: Jesus is both a
priest and king who will reign on His throne.
Job 19:25
"For I know <that> my redeemer liveth,
and <that> he shall stand at the latter <day> upon the earth:"
Jobs statement of faith about the future. He, Jesus who redeemed people, will
stand on the earth in the latter days.
Zechariah 6:13
"Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the
glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a
priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them
both." Jesus is a priest from kingly Judah.
WHERE:
On the earth Jesus will be seen coming in His second coming as king.
Zechariah 14:5 "And ye
shall flee <to> the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the
mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like
as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah
king of Judah:
and the LORD my God shall come, <and> all the saints with thee."
Jesus returns with saints.
Matthew 24:30 "And then
shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the
tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the
clouds of heaven with power and great glory." This occurs because they
rejected Him.
Matthew 25:31 "When the
Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him,
then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:" Zechariah
14:5 fulfillment.
WHEN: All times

The King, Jesus, rules in Israel
Isaiah 45:23 "I have sworn
by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth <in> righteousness, and shall
not return, That unto me every knee shall
bow, every tongue shall swear."
Romans 14:11
"For it is written, <As> I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall
bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God."
Philippians 2:10-11 "That at
the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of <things> in heaven,
and <things> in earth, and <things> under the earth;
{11} And <that> every tongue should confess
that Jesus Christ <is> Lord, to the glory of God the Father."

Ezekiel 37:24-25 "And David
my servant <shall be> king over them; and they all shall have one
shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes,
and do them. {25} And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob
my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein,
<even> they, and their children, and their children's children for ever:
and my servant David <shall be> their prince for ever." David
however would not live forever. Only God (Jesus) lives forever.
B) THE MESSIAH WILL BE
KING OF EARTH FOREVER. HE WAS FIRST IN HEAVEN:
Daniel 7:13-14 "I saw in
the night visions, and, behold, <one> like the Son of man came with
the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they
brought him near before him. {14} And there was
given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all
people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion
<is> an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and
his kingdom <that> which shall not be destroyed." Son of man (used
by Jesus many times) was giving a kingdom, over all people, which shall never
pass away. This person is in heaven & first brought to God.
C) THE MESSIAH KING WILL BE FROM BETHLEHEM: Jesus was born there.
Micah 5:2 "But thou, Bethlehem
Ephratah, <though> thou be little among the
thousands of Judah, <yet> out of thee shall he come forth unto
me <that is> to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth <have
been> from of old, from everlasting." Who is everlasting,
only God
Matthew 2:6 "And thou Bethlehem,
<in> the land of Juda, art not the least
among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall
come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel." Jesus was
born to rule

Jesus answered, Thou sayest
that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness
unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth
my voice." Jesus proclaims Himself to be the king.
Matthew 27:11 "And Jesus
stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying, Art
thou the King of the Jews? And Jesus said unto him, Thou sayest." Jesus answer is: yes as you say.
I) ABOVE JESUS CROSS:
Jesus is claimed as the king of Jews
Matthew 27:37 "And set
up over his head his accusation written, THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE
JEWS." Last un-Jewish king of Israel (Herod) occurred during Messiah
coming. Jesus is the last true king of Israel.
John 19:19 "And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross.
And the writing was, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS."
III) JESUS MINISTRY
BETWEEN HIS 1ST AND 2ND COMING:

IV) JESUS SECOND COMING
AS KING OVER ALL THE EARTH TO RULE IN JERUSALEM:

COMING:
Psalms 24:7-10 "Lift up
your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the
King of glory shall come in. {8} Who is this King of glory? The
LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. {9} Lift up your heads,
O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory
shall come in. {10} Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts,
he is the King of glory. Selah." Jesus future return in clouds
B) THE KING COMES FROM
HEAVEN WITH A MIGHTY ARMY OF SAINTS & ANGELS:

For Jesus 2nd coming, He will come in the clouds with an army.
Zechariah 14:5 "And ye

D) HONOR & WORSHIP:
As king, Jesus will receive honor and worship.
Isaiah 45:23 "I have sworn

bow, every tongue shall swear."
Romans 14:11 "For it is
written, <As> I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me,
and every tongue shall confess to God."
Philippians 2:10-11 "That at
the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of <things> in heaven,
and <things> in earth, and <things> under the earth;
{11} And <that> every tongue should confess
that Jesus Christ <is> Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
E) THE KING OVER THE
ENTIRE EARTH IS ONE WITH THE LORD GOD:
Zechariah 14:9 "And the
LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one
LORD, and his name one." Jesus will be king over the earth, in
Jerusalem, with His name being 1 (=Father).
John 10:30 "I and
<my> Father are one." Jesus said this
F) JESUS IS THE MIGHTY
GOD, EVERLASTING FATHER, COUNSELLOR (SPIRIT):

Isaiah 9:6 "For unto us a
child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon
his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor,
The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The
Prince of Peace." Jesus is equal to Father/God/Counselor & is the Son
of God. He is the eternal ruler over the earth.
V) FUTURE KING/REDEEMER
IS GOD:
A) JESUS CAME 1ST AS
REDEEMER THEN AT HIS 2ND COMING AS KING OF EARTH:

Job 19:25 "For I know
<that> my redeemer liveth, and
<that> he shall stand at the latter <day> upon the earth:"
Jobs statement of faith about the future. He, Jesus who redeemed people, will
stand on the earth in the latter days.
Zechariah 6:13 "Even he
shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall
sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne:
and the counsel of peace shall be between them both." Jesus is a priest
from kingly Judah.
B) JESUS AS MELCHIZEDEK
IS BOTH KING AND PRIEST:

"And Melchizedek king of Salem
brought forth bread and wine: and he <was> the priest of the most high God."King/Priest
Hebrews 7:21-22 "(For those
priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto
him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou
<art> a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:)
{22} By so much was Jesus made a surety of a
better testament." Jesus fulfilled the king & priest prophecy even
as member of tribe of Judah (kingly tribe) by being Melchizedek.
C) JESUS AS KING OF KING
AND LORD OF LORDS IS RULER OVER THE EARTH:
Revelation 11:15
"And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven,
saying, The kingdoms of this world are
become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall
reign for ever and ever."
Revelation 17:14 "These
shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he
is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are
called, and chosen, and faithful."
Revelation 19:15-16 "And
out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he
should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and
he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath
of Almighty God. {16} And he hath on his vesture and
on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS."
D) CHRISTIANS SHOULD RULE
WITH JESUS 1000 YEARS:
Revelation 20:6 "Blessed
and holy <is> he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the
second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and
shall reign with him a thousand years."
E) GOD AND HIS PEOPLE
WILL REIGN TOGETHER FOREVER:

2 Peter 3:13 "Nevertheless
we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein
dwelleth righteousness."
Revelation 22:5 "And there

reign for ever and ever." God rules forever.
