  • Supervision and maintenance of Novell 5.1 network (dual server, Windows NT 4.0; IP only) and Windows 2000 network (single server, Windows 98, IP only).  Expanded system from 1 to 3 servers, 95 to 230 stations, and 350 to 800 user accounts annually.
  • Engineering of Upgrade from single-server Novell 4.10 network (Windows for Workgroups 3.11 & Windows 95; IPX and IP).
  • Reconstructed and stabilized 4.10 file server Redesigned NDS tree and file structure to revoke excessive rights, and secure the shared Student Information System database.
  • Wrote 2800 lines of nested batch files to emulate System Policies in WFW 3.11, and provide uniform boot, desktop, print services and applications on student workstations.
  • Repaired and reenabled DOS-based Glencoe 5.0 Instructed Learning System for GED/Pre-Vocational program.  Mounted and deployed multiple databases for Medisoft and Quickbooks classes, Plato ESL lesson suite.
  • Prepared Y2K diagnostics and documentation to supervise remediation of Paradox 4.5 for DOS-based Student Information System, and to directly repair 1400 database files therein.
  • Engineered and implemented an enterprise upgrade of hardware and software to NT-standards and Year 2000 compliance, including upgrade to Novell 5.1, universal migration to Microsoft Office 2000 suite, and first-time rollout of Exchange/Outlook e-mail and Internet services.

  • Planned, designed, and supervised the installation of new facilities from the ground up. The physical plant ultimately included video, film, photo and animation shooting studios; color, black-and-white, and graphics darkrooms (with process camera); automated 35mm film and color stat processors; off-line video, 16mm and Super 8mm flatbed editting suites; audio visual post-production and multi-track mixing facilities.
