http://www.umboko.com/ - Dec. 2001 "All I want for Christmas is Umboko Essence Oils." My daughter now orders directly from Umboko's site. She's still found nothing comparable in Phoenix, or as reasonable. Her personal favorite is Amber. Kathleen, the owner, is a wonderful human being. I miss her being in San Luis Obispo, but am delighted I can still buy via Internet.
Shira's Art of Middle Eastern Dance The most comprehensive belly dancing/M.E. site in the world!
jareeda - #1 magazine for belly dancers. - Featured article in December 1999 issue is by the "Dancer Cancer" women. You may read this encouraging article at http://www.shira.net/breast-cancer.htm
Zaida - Belly Dancing for Older Women
This Australian site is very instructional and helpful - teaches on site .
Zaida began belly dancing at 60. Costuming, advice, dancing in MacKay, male dancers,
links and more.
Zaida states, "You will find that, as you progress into the intricacies of the dance, you will understand that you are NOT flaunting your body you are expressing your inner self. The self you have always been instructed to suppress. You will find a newborn sense of me. You will be thrilled to experience your femininity. You will learn to "FLY" and release your soul. You will learn to be WOMAN."
I love Zaida's description of the attitude we women should have.
