Polly Irene Penrod was born on March 2, 1894. She was the seventh child born to David Israel Penrod and Cynthia Ann Smith.

Her first marriage was on August 3, 1916 to Fred B. Powell. They were the parents of Fred Ray Powell.

Her second marriage was on October 28, 1921 to William James Walker, son of William Jonston Walker and Etta Maude Lee. William and Polly were the parents of Lillian Marjorie, Sue Narvella, William, Farrell Lee, Cynthia Ruth, Nancy Helen, and James Walter.

Polly passed away on February 28, 1936 in Globe, Arizona and was laid to rest in Pinetop, Arizona.
