Mavis June Adair was born on May 24, 1928 in Pinetop, Arizona. She was the sixth child born to Clements David Adair and Violet Helen Packer: Edgar Clements Kenneth Adrian, Goldie Marie, Virginia Evelyn, John Taylor, Mavis June, Millie Louise, Guy William, Wanda Irene, Marjorie Velda, and Shirley Loree.

On August 9, 1946 Mavis married Billy Joe Daniel, son of Joseph Marion Daniel and Martha June Bell. They were the parents of four children: Ruby Violet, Wanda Carolyn, Roy Allen, and Reece.

Mavis passed away on January 16, 1974 and was buried in Holbrook, Arizona.
