24 Years - 6 Months - 30 Days

The Trinity, Russian Orthodox

On the evening of November 25, 2002

I received the call that no mother ever expects to get.

As a mother, we always want to do everything we can to protect our children.

But sometimes God has a plan that is hard to understand and accept.

I do take comfort in knowing my boy

David is one of Gods new Angels now.

Words could never begin to explain the thoughts and feelings I have

experienced since that call.

"God often digs wells of joy with the spade of sorrow"

David passed on unexpectedly because of complications that resulted from

 "Advanced Coronary Artery Disease".

Grandpa & Grandma Ridley

David loved his Grandparents Alan & Loretta very much.

He carried this photo of them with him always.

I'M FREE

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free.

I'm following the path God laid for me.

I took His hand when I heard His call.

I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day,

To laugh, to love, to work, or play.

Tasks left undone must stay that way,

I found the place of peace at the close of the day.

If my parting has left a void,

Then fill it with remembered joy,

A friendship shaved, a laugh, a kiss,

Ah yes, these things I too will miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow,

I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.

My life’s been full, I savored much,

Good friends, good times, a loved ones touch.

Perhaps my time seemed all to brief.

Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief.

Lift your hearts, and peace to thee,

God wanted me now, He set me free.

What Would David Say?

I know that you will miss me

And I will miss you to.

My time with you was much too short

With nothing we could do.

You taught me how to love and care,

You taught me right from wrong.

So when God stretched out his loving arms,

I knew where I belonged.

Please don't cry because I am gone,

My love lives on in you.

The happiness and joy you see,

My eyes will see this too.

Remember me with laughter,

Let not your heart be sad.

Remember all the times we shared,

and all the fun we had.

Listen to the summer breeze,

I will be by your side.

Feel me within your heart,

see me in the ocean tide.

To all my family and friends,

to all those I loved so much,

Someday our love will join again,

Embraced by God's sweet touch.
