What Would David Say?
I know that you will miss me
And I will miss you to.
My time with you was much too short
With nothing we could do.
You taught me how to love and care,
You taught me right from wrong.
So when God stretched out his loving arms,
I knew where I belonged.
Please don't cry because I am gone,
My love lives on in you.
The happiness and joy you see,
My eyes will see this too.
Remember me with laughter,
Let not your heart be sad.
Remember all the times we shared,
and all the fun we had.
Listen to the summer breeze,
I will be by your side.
Feel me within your heart,
see me in the ocean tide.
To all my family and friends,
to all those I loved so much,
Someday our love will join again,
Embraced by God's sweet touch.

Precious Child
In my dreams you are alive
and well
In my mind I see you clear
as a bell
In my soul there is a hole
that can never be filled
But in my heart there is
hope because you are with me still
In my plans I was the first
to leave
But in this world I was
left here to grieve
In my soul there is a hole
that can never be filled
But in my heart there is
and you are with me still
God knows I want to hold
you, see you, touch you
And when we are both in
heaven
On that day - I will
again
Please know you're not
forgotten until then
In my heart you live on,
always there, never gone
Precious child you left too
soon
And though it may be true
that we're apart
You will live - forever -
in my heart

My
First Christmas In Heaven
I
see the countless Christmas Trees around the
world below,
with
tiny lights, like heaven's stars, reflecting on
the snow.
The
sight is so spectacular; please wipe away that
tear,
for
I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this
year.
I
hear the many Christmas songs that people hold
so dear,
but
the sounds of music can't compare -
with
the Christmas choir up here.
I
have no words to tell you, the joy their voices
bring,
for
it is beyond description, to hear the angels
sing.
I
know how much you miss me. I see the pain inside
your heart,
but
I am not so far away. We really aren't apart.
So
be happy for me dear ones. You know I hold you
dear,
and
be glad I'm spending Christmas, with Jesus
Christ this year.
I
send you each a special gift, from my heavenly
home above.
I
send you each a memory of, of my undying love.
After
all "Love" is the gift, more precious
than pure gold.
It
was always most import in the stories Jesus
told.
Please
love and keep each other, as my Father said to
do,
for
I can't count the blessing or love he has for
each of you.
So,
have a Merry Christmas and wipe away that tear.
Remember,
I'm spending Christmas, with Jesus Christ this
year.

Christmas Memories
There is a memory in my heart,
When Christmas comes around;
Children's laughter filled the air,
And blessed it with joyous sound.
A little bit of magic,
Like sparkle on the snow;
Time stood still, now time is gone,
Where did the laughter go?
Where did the piping carols go,
The ones my child used to sing?
They're tucked so deeply in my heart,
In memories Christmas brings.
Where did the little stockings go,
That hung on the mantle with care?
Tucked away in my box of dreams,
Of the child no longer there.
For Christmas brings a special ache,
Deep within my soul;
For the child I loved and now is gone,
The half that made me whole.
Gone are the dreams of our future,
Left is a distant past;
Yet childish laughter rings in my heart,
And memories that will last.
Celebrate Christmas in Heaven, my child;
Let your laughter fill the air;
Until the day I am by your side,
My love will be with you there.

Psalms:
23
The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not
want. He maketh me to lie down in green
pastures; He restoreth my soul; He leadeth me
in the paths of righteousness for His name's
sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley
of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil;
for Thou art with me. Thy rod and Thy staff
they comfort me in the presence of mine
enemies; Thou anointest my head with oil, my
cup runneth over. Surely goodness and
mercy shall follow me all the days of my
life; and I will dwell in the house of the
Lord forever.

When God Calls Little
Children
When God calls little children to dwell
with him above. We mortals sometimes question
the wisdom of His love. For no heartache
compares with the death of one small child,
who does so much to make our world wonderful
and mild. Perhaps God tires of calling the
aged to his fold. So he picks a rosebud
before it can grow old. God knows how much we
need them and so He takes but few. To make
the land of heaven mote to view. Believing
this is difficult, still somehow we must
try. The saddest word mankind knows will
always be "Good bye." So when a
little child departs we who are left
behind, must realize God loves
children... Angels are hard to
find.

"PARABLE
OF THE ROSE"
A
certain man planted a rose and watered it
faithfully and before it
blossomed,
he examined it. He saw the bud that would soon
blossom,
but
noticed thorns upon the stem and he
thought........ How can any
beautiful
flower come from a plant burdened with so many
sharp
thorns?
Saddened by this thought, he neglected to water
the rose, and
before
it was ready to bloom, it died. So it is with
many people.
Within
every soul there is a rose: The God-like
qualities planted in
us
at birth growing amid the thorns of our faults.
Many of us look at
ourselves
and see only the thorns, the defects. We
despair, thinking
that
nothing good can possibly come from us. We
neglect to water the
good
within us, and eventually it dies. We never
realize our
potential.
Some people do not see the rose within
themselves; someone
else
must show it to them. One of the greatest gifts
a person can
possess
is to be able to reach past the thorns and find
the rose
within
others. This is the characteristic of love ....
to look at a
person
and know their true faults. Accepting that
person into your
life,
while recognizing the nobility in their soul.
Help them to
realize
that they can overcome their faults. If we show
them the
rose,
they will conquer their thorns. Only then will
they blossom
many
times over.

I'm Free
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm

love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must
stay that way, I found the peace at the close
of day. If my parting has left a
void, Then fill it with remembered joys. A
friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, yes,
these things I too will miss. Be not burdened
with times of sorrow. I wish you the sunshine
of tomorrow. My life's been full, I
savored much, Good friends, good times, a

undue grief. Lift up your hearts, and peace
to thee. God wanted me now, He set me

When
Tomorrow Starts Without Me
When tomorrow starts without me And
I'm not there to see; If the sun should rise
and find your eyes All filled with tears for
me.
I wish so much you wouldn't
cry The way you did today; While thinking
of the many things We didn't get to
say.
I know how much you love me
... As much as I love you; And each time
that you think of me, I know you'll miss me
too.
But when tomorrow starts without
me Please try to understand, That an angel
came and called my name And took me by the
hand.
She said my place was ready In
heaven far above; And that I'd have to leave
behind, All those I dearly love.
But
as I turned to walk away, A tear fell from my
eye; For all my life, I'd always thought I
didn't want to die.
I had so much to live
for So much yet to do; It seemed almost
impossible, That I was leaving you.
I
thought of all the yesterdays, The good ones
and the bad; I thought of all the love we
shared, And all the fun we had.
If I
could relive yesterday Just even for
awhile, I'd say goodbye and kiss you And
maybe see you smile.
But then I fully
realized That this could never be; For
emptiness and memories Would take the place
of me.
And when I thought of worldly
things I might miss come tomorrow; I
thought of you, and when I did, My heart was
filled with sorrow.
But when I walked
through heaven's gates I felt so much at
home; When God looked down and smiled at
me From His great golden throne.
He
said, "This is eternity And all I've promised
you; Today your life on earth is past, But
here it all starts anew."
"I promise no
tomorrow, But today will always last; And
since each day's the same day, There's no
longing for the past."
"But you have been
so faithful, So trusting and so
true; Though at times you did do
things, You knew you shouldn't
do."
"But you have been forgiven And
now at last you're free; So won't you take my
hand And share my life with me?"
So
when tomorrow starts without me, Don't think
we're far apart ... For every time you think
of me, I'm right here ... in your
heart.

I'll Lend You
"I'll lend you for a little time A
child of mine," He said, "For you to love the
while he lives And mourn for when he is
dead.
"It may be six or seven
years, Or twenty-two or three; But will
you, 'til I call him back Take care of him
for me?
"He'll bring his charms to
gladden you And shall his stay be
brief, You'll have his lovely memories As
solace for your grief.
"I cannot promise
he will stay, Since all from earth
return; But there are lessons taught down
there I want this child to
learn.
"I've looked the wide world
over In search for teachers true, And from
the throngs that crowd life's lanes I have
selected you.
"Now will you give him all
your love Nor think the labor vain; Nor
hate Me when I come to call And take him back
again?"
I fancied that I heard them
say, "Dear Lord, Thy Will be done! For all
the joy Thy child shall bring, The risk of
grief we'll run.
"We'll shelter him with
tenderness, We'll love him while we
may, And for the happiness we've
known Forever grateful stay.
"But
shall the Angels call for him Much sooner
then we've planned, We'll brave the bitter
grief that comes And try to
understand."

SEASONED GRIEF
There used to be a point to
summing up a year just past
not as a personal
accomplishment but as a reflection.
Leaving previous hurts
behind was welcomed
and the sensible thing to
do -
I thought I was getting
wiser as I was getting older.
With new years clean and
full of possibilities,
becoming a better person
seemed simple,
another chance at getting
it right,
like a redemption, being
forgiven for
having blundered or been
found wanting.
But death changed
everything, without permission.
Resolutions, made sincerely
and broken quickly,
offended my need to hold on
to the past,
to rewind life, fast
backwards,
so I could capture what I
had lost.
Still, time went on,
regardless of my pleas.
And when exhaustion set in,
as eventually it must,
I understood there would be
another future,
not the one I thought I had
the right to expect
but one where I dared carry
hope in my heart again.

today
and for a moment saw your
face
And wondered just were you
have gone
with a hope it's a better
place
Did you show yourself to me
today
to tell me you're alright?
Or was it just a daydream
playing tricks upon my
sight
Then I thought of when you
left
you did not say a word
No hugs and kisses..
no good-bye was heard
You have changed our lives
forever
Your time here not in vain
and hope you know we always
tried
to keep you safe from pain
We will always feel the
void inside
because you are not here
But each new thought you
send our way
let's us know you're always
near
So until our journey nears

it comes
and live off the love you
bring

Happy New Year
What does the new year mean
to me?
It's another year to be
bereaved.
365 days that I cannot see
my child who meant so much
to me.
Sometimes while riding in
our car
I try to see into distances
afar.
I shut my eyes and shake my
head
and then I realize he's
really dead.
This child whom I have
loved so much
is nowhere close where I
can touch.
That in itself is a
terrible feeling;
it keeps my emotions
rocking and reeling.
I look at his picture and
it's hard to believe
that this is all the older
he will ever be.
No daughter-in-law will
ever be mine,
no grandchildren from him
to take up my time.
Happy New Year I just can't
say.
It means different things
from day-to-day.
It should mean I'm glad my
son is here
to celebrate this brand new
"year."
But since I'm one of the
parents bereaved,
this is a fact that will
never be.
Another year has come upon
us; I'll get thru it - simply must!

SOME WORDS FRIENDS NEVER
SAY
By Erma Bombeck
For more than 40 years I have had the best
friend you could ever have. When I told my best
friend I was fat, she never said, I just lost
three pounds without even trying.
When we went to a sock hop together in
college and she was offered a ride home, she
never ditched me.
When I gave myself a home permanent and left
it on too long, she was the only one to sit with
me in the bathroom until it grew out.
When I told my best friend my husband gave me
two snow tires for our anniversary, she never
said, "You should be happy he remembered."
When I was pregnant and my stomach looked
like a tray on a car door in a drive - in, she
never said, "There's a glow about pregnant
women."
When I had a miscarriage and everyone else in
the world said, "There will be other babies,"
she cried with me over the one I lost.
When she told me she was staying home for the
summer, I wouldn't have dreamed of sending her a
card from Spain telling her what a great time I
was having.
When her mixer broke down, I never asked her
if she had sent in the warranty card so she'd be
covered.
When I moved 3,000 miles away, she never once
told me what I was doing to her. When her mother
died, I never said, She had a rich full life and
she was in her 70's. When I argued with my
husband and begged her for advice, she kept her
mouth shut. She just listened.
When we couldn't get a sitter and had to
bring the kids along to her house for dinner,
she never fell apart. When I had my first
autographing party and no one showed up, she
never suggested, "They probably didn't see the
ad."
Recently, my best friend lost her child. He
was her youngest and was in his 20's. I listened
to her. I cried with her. I felt pain that I had
never known I could feel before. But not once
did I say to her, "I know how you feel."
