Older than the Marina itself, Shanghai Reds has been in the same location for 35 years. It's setting is among gardens and koi fish ponds. It features fresh fish specialties as well as a variety of menu entrees. Great food and a great environment.

This restaurant is well hidden behind a heavy tree cover but worth finding especially on Sat. and Sun. for the best brunch in the Marina.

Edie's Diner
This 1950's diner style eating place is a favorite spot for tourists and locals of every generation. For the coup-de-grace of nostalgia each patron receives a package of Bazooka Bubble Gum.

For fresh fish at a casual seaside atmosphere, this place can't be beat. Has daily fresh fish specials. Great view of the boats navigating the Marina. Located in the Fisherman's Village it is most apropos for its setting. Validated parking.


El Torito Mexican Restaurant
Home of exotic original Mexican creations, including the Mexican Pizza, this eatery is south-of-the-border seaside dining at its very best. Also located in Fisherman's Village. Great Marina view. Validated parking.

The Octopus Cafe
This is a hidden breakfast nook east of Mother's Beach. A sidewalk cafe featuring breakfast and lunch items it opens early and closes early (2:00 p.m.). Gathering place for locals and boaters. Free parking. Nice ambiance.


Joni's Coffee Roaster Cafe
Before there were Starbucks and the designer style coffee rage, there was Joni's. An original coffee house and favorite breakfast hangout for locals, Joni's is located off Washington Blvd., a part of the Marina Beach Shopping Center. Great coffees, great aromas and an atmosphere of originality.

Edna's Hot Dog Stand
Edna's is a welcome respite for a snack along the Aubrey Austin Park promenade. Features Vienna hot dogs, snacks, cold drinks and a smile from Edna.
