The Keller/Payen
This page is a follow-up on the "The R. Keller Mystery Model" that appeared on the Payen Page  By way of the excellent offices of Jean Wantzenriether, I  received a fine packet of Good Stuff(tm), most of which I am posting here. First  is an excellent drawing of construction of the model. This is a drawing from memory by Mattias Keller of  the model by Richard Keller, his father. All this is better explained by Matthais in the handwritten note below.

What you see here is a GIF of a Xerox of a genuine work of art.  I wish I could post a pic that is as nice as even the Xerox. The smudged over text of the little 2 vu says it is about 400mm long. The black dot behind the intersection  of the fuselage and the two flying surfaces is what remains of a CG bug.

He included some pages showing details. and here they are ...

The elegant hand written notes that are now illegible here read , starting at the upper right.
Steel wire or bamboo wing fixing
Press buttons  (I'm pretty sure this is what we know as "dress snaps")
Original version - Later on, 3 rubber strands.

The  three small drawings show some alternate constructions. There is a note off the page that reads "I'd build it like that today, of 3x3mm (3 x 4.5mm) BALSA" . But I'm afraid the GIF is not very clear

So here's an enlarged detail. Note that the 6 longerons are supported by the balsa blocks and the cross pieces are then added. Seems like a good idea.

Some pix showing the test foamies mentioned in hand lettered notes

More planes , a boat and a hovercraft

And here, a lagniappe for us,  is a 1938 Peck One Nighter
