There are major renovations going on at the  Glastonbury High School.  Therefore they will only conditionally approve our request for these dates.  It is unlikely, but approval for the use of the facility on one or more of these dates could change or be rescinded.  In the event that this happens, it would be very helpful to have the e-mail addresses of all participants, or failing that, their phone  numbers  so we can notify everyone about late-breaking changes.

           BURNT OFFERINGS TO HUNG
As is our custom, we will pay homage to Hung, Great God of Thermals by offering up our old and/or stubborn models in a naming sacrifice. Any one caught trying to retrieve a model from the sacrificial pyre will himself he tossed into the inferno! (It is surprising what nice looking ships are unselfishly offered up to the Great One in hopes of getting good weather on contest days) Seek out those dodos lurking in the dark corners of your hangar and give 'em just what they deserve......THE HEAT!

The map of Eastern Connecticut should give a good general idea of where things are. The other maps  show exactly how to find the sites. The Eastern Connecticut map is some 400+ K. The others are more reasonable.
Eastern Connecticut Pinkham Field Glastonbury Hi Skool

I don't know what the current status of this is.  Pester Art Ellis

The Science Olympiad competition seems to be taking hold in Central and Southern Connecticut.  A report from Art Ellis describes many youngsters building this particular class of indoor model for GHS competition. The S.O. event includes both middle and high school students and is part of a multi-faceted program that promotes diversity and learning. The question is will any of these young people stay in the sport? Please focus any questions regarding the models and their design (not the S.O. program) to Mr Art Ellis at the Eli Whitney Museum. His email address is ae@eliwhitney.org and the phone at the museum is 203-777-1833 .Have a Great Season!
