Is QCSC DAS compatible with other PC programs? YES
Yes, QCSC DAS was specifically designed to be highly compatible with other programs such as screen dumpers, spoolers, and capture utilities. It is also compatible with word processors, databases, and spreadsheets. QCSC DAS uses only industry standard programming and file generation techniques.
Can QCSC DAS be fitted to an ISA motherboard or a notebook PC? YES
Yes, absolutely. All you need is an open ISA slot in your desktop PC. VGA is required. A 486 or better is recommended. If you want the notebook version of QCSC DAS, a Type II PCMCIA slot is requ ired. Also, Diacom, PC based scanners, from Rinda Technologies can be added to your PC.
Are QCSC DAS files easy to retrieve? YES
QCSC DAS is a DOS based program that uses windows style programming for easy file review. You can point and click with a mouse to retrieve text or data files (waveforms) from any directory or sub-directory.
Is help available? YES
Windows style and DOS style help is available. Help files can also be viewed with your word processor. And QCSC provides customer support.
Don't forget, QCSC DAS does the secondary too.
Can I save files with descriptions? YES
You can save as many files as your hard disk can hold. And when you save a favorite file with description, you can attach additional text such as troubleshooting tips and reminders to the automated index of favorite files.
Is QCSC DAS teachable? YES
In fact a 'favorite file' remembers the entire data acquisition setup, stores the info, and allows you to attach pertinent troubleshooting tips to the database. This means your QCSC DAS system can be pre-configured to do troubleshooting jobs previously umimagined. QCSC DAS includes a set of pre-configured 'favorite files' for multiple channel (component) testing. Naturally you can search the 'favorites file' index for easy recall.
