Mapping an 84 LTD 3.8L CFI 84 LTD MAP

Here is an example of minimum pulse width. See WOT/decel, frame 9, for details. (Start time 1:50).

The steps in PIP represent advance.

Readings were taken on 5/10/97 on Route 46, in Lodi, NJ area. Subject vehicle was a high mileage 1984 LTD 3.8L CFI. Vehicle was warmed up about 10 minutes before start of testing at 1:42PM. ALL readings were taken with the auto trans in OverDrive(p-r-n-o-d-l). Route 46 is hilly in this area.

Start time equals Time at time 0.
Time equals time x 2 seconds. Each update is 2 seconds apart. TPS is tps volts (rounded). MAP is in Hertz. PIP equals RPM. INJ is pulse width in seconds (rounded to ten- thousandths).
