GM REF EST MAF auto mechanic 8 at a time

Can the QCSC DAS SYSTEM really sample and display 8 channels at once? YES

This sample from an '86 GM 2.8L MFI' shows us that the Bypass is ON. The 'REF' and 'EST' signals are offset, the spark advance and RPM can be determined from these lines. The frequency of the MAF sensor can be determined from 'CH 3'. The next 2 channels show the IAC windings being pulsed. The last 2 channels show injector groups '1' and '2'. The pulse width and 'turn on' voltages can be analyzed. The firing strategy is also revealed (all injectors get pulsed, simultaneously, once per crank revolution). The engine was at 1450 RPM as determined by the reference signal. Notice the 'offset' between the REF and EST lines. This 'offset' constitutes spark advance.

Colors were reversed for easy printing.
