ERC ERV EGRV EGRC ford EVP
Is QCSC DAS ideal for educators? YES
Can the QCSC DAS SYSTEM show the relationship between ECA inputs & outputs? YES
In this sample, the often misunderstood Ford EGR circuit is being observed. Channel #2 shows the EVP sensor. Note that the EVP signal rises gradually, then holds level and then drops off again. In order to get the EGR valve to open more, the ECA g rounds the 'normally open' EGR Vent solenoid and pulses the 'normally closed' EGR Control solenoid. When the EVP sensor indicates a perfect amount of EGR, the EGR Vent solenoid is grounded and the EGR Control solenoid is not grounded. Eventually the ECA determines that there is too much EGR, at that time, the ECA de-energizes both solenoids (note the signals for EGRV & EGRC go high) and as vacuum bleeds off from the EGR valve diaphragm, we can see the EVP sensor signal dropping.
