Many thanks to all of you who bought The Substitute Wife and put it on the U.S.A. Today list for two weeks!

Available now from Mira Books ISBN:1-55166-677-4

When Luke Quintain’s fiancé dumped him, Catherine Lang understood immediately that she was the perfect solution to his problem. Leggy, flame-haired and wise beyond her years, she decided she should marry him instead.

But even though Luke needed a wife by his thirty-sixth birthday or he’d lose his inheritance, he had to say "NO!" Well, that was what he tried to say, but somehow Cat left with a ring on her finger and a wedding date on her calendar. And Luke could only curse his grandfather’s positively Medieval blackmailing scheme...and count the seconds till the wedding night.

Cat, of course, knows her own mind--and her own heart—and she wants Luke. Meanwhile, Luke is wondering how long this will play out, and hoping that it might be a little longer with each passing day. The problem is, he’s quite capable of doing something very stupid—like falling for Cat.

Because sometimes love just doesn’t take no for an answer.

Loving Jessie

I know I'm not supposed to have favorites but I have to confess that Loving Jessie is a book that's dear to my heart. The characters just seemed to come particularly alive for me and I hated to say good-bye to them when the story came to an end.

Available from Mira books. ISBN 1-55166-791-6

From the back cover:

Life has gone out of focus for photojournalist Matt Latimer. So he's heading back home to the tiny California town where he grew up, hoping to reconnect with his roots, his purpose and his art. But Matt's homecoming is an event that will propel him - and those closest to him - into the complex territories of friendship, loyalty... and love.

Growing up, Matt was always around when Jessie Sinclair needed him most. Now she needs him for the most important decision of her life. She wants a baby. Suddenly the lives of Matt and Jessie and others in this small town collide in unexpected ways. Jessie must choose between what was and what might still be, between past heartbreak and the promise of new love, between what was lost and what is waiting to be found.
