Daions Online Electrified Acoustic Guitar Page

Up until the early 80s amplification of acoustic guitars was limited to a nearby microphpne, which severely limited player movement; a pickup that clipped into the sound hole, which was far from ideal, but worked; or the installation of an internal pickup, which was a fairly invasive procedure. Finally, the guitar makers started installing the internal pickups with tone and volume controls, on the guitar at the factory. The Caribou and Gazelle were Daion's entries into this market.

This is the only picture from this series we have so far (hint, hint). It is an available Caribou currently residing with Bruce Diamond (if you are interested, see the link to Bruce on the Home page).
